According to the Hong Kong Immigration Department, applicants must meet all the following basic qualifications:

. Age:

Applicants must be 18 years old or above when submitting applications under this program;

. Financial requirements:

Applicants must prove that they can bear the burden alone They and their dependents (if any) do not need to rely on public assistance for their living and accommodation while living in Hong Kong;

3. Good character:

Applicants must not have criminal records or bad immigration records in Hong Kong or elsewhere;

4. Language proficiency:

Applicants must have good written and spoken skills in Chinese or English (oral Chinese refers to Mandarin or Cantonese);

5. Basic education:

Applicants must have good academic qualifications, and the general requirement is that they have qualifications from a recognized university or higher education institution. A university degree awarded by a school. In special circumstances, good technical qualifications, demonstrable professional abilities and/or experience and achievements that can be supported by supporting documentation may also be considered.

Comprehensive scoring system:

Age (up to 30 points)

1. 8-39: 30 points;
2. 40-44: 20 points;
3. 45-50: 15 points;
4. 51 or above: 0 points.

Academic/Professional Qualifications (maximum 70 points)

1. Doctoral degree/two or more Master's degree : 40 points;
2. Master's degree/two or more Bachelor's degree : 20 points;
3. By country or Bachelor's degree/professional qualification awarded by an internationally recognized or highly regarded professional institution The holder has a very high level of technical expertise or skills: 10 points;
4. If awarded a bachelor's degree or higher by an internationally recognized and reputable institution , then extra points: 30 points.

Work experience (maximum 55 points)

1. Not less than 10 years of graduate or expert level work experience, including at least 5 years in a senior position: 40 points;
2. Not less than 5 years of graduate or expert level work experience, including at least 2 Years of senior position: 30 points;
3. Not less than 5 years of graduate or expert-level work experience: 15 points;
4. Not less than 2 years of graduate or expert-level work experience: 5 points;
5. Not less than 2 years of graduate or expert-level work experience: 15 points or additional bonus points for expert-level international work experience: 15 points.

Talent List (maximum 30 points)

If it meets the specifications of the corresponding major in the Talent List, additional points will be awarded: 30 points.

5. Creative industries and performing arts specialist;
6. Actuary;
7. Shipbuilder;
8. Waste management specialist;
9. Asset management specialist regulatory experts;

11. dispute resolution experts and business transaction lawyers;
12. data scientists and cybersecurity experts;
13. environmental, social and governance (ESG) related financial professionals.

Language proficiency (maximum 20 points)

1. Proficient in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English: 20 points;
2. Proficient in at least one foreign language (written and spoken) in addition to written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or English Spoken): 15 points;
3. Proficient in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or English: 10 points.

Family background (maximum 20 points)

1. At least one immediate relative (married spouse, parents, siblings, children) is a Hong Kong permanent resident living in Hong Kong: 5 points;
3. Accompanying married spouse has received equivalent education or above Education: 5 points;
5. Add 5 points for each unmarried dependent child under 18 years old, up to a maximum of 10 points.

The current minimum passing score is 80 points and the maximum passing score is 225 points. The minimum passing score is set based on the general score test.
