Countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, India, and Taiwan announced last week that they would begin entry testing for travelers from China. The United Kingdom, South Korea, and Israel also announced new testing measures for Chinese travelers later.
Morocco was the first country to announce a complete ban on entry of Chinese tourists.

Asia Pacific
Japan is in It was announced earlier that starting from December 30, all passengers from China or who have been to China within 7 days will undergo a nucleic acid test upon arrival. Those with positive results and symptoms will be quarantined for 7 days, and those without symptoms will be quarantined for 5 days; at the same time, flights from China to Japan will also be reduced.
Japan has also implemented measures such as limiting the number of airports that flights from Hong Kong can land at. Multiple flights from Hong Kong to various places in Japan were canceled last week.
The Japanese authorities once restricted passenger flights from Hong Kong to only four local airports in Japan. After the Hong Kong government sent a letter to the Japanese authorities requesting the withdrawal of the relevant decision, Japan will increase the number of airports that can be used to seven.
South Korea Prime Minister Han Deok-soo said last week that travelers from China will need to provide proof of a negative nucleic acid or antigen test before boarding.
They also need to take a nucleic acid test within one day of entering South Korea.
Australia Australia, which had previously stated that it would not take additional measures against Chinese travelers, announced on Sunday that it will require travelers from China to provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate within 48 hours before departure from January 5.
Australian Health Minister Mark Butler said: This decision is a temporary measure out of "an abundance of caution" and the Australian government warmly welcomes international students and tourists from China as well as people who have been separated from their families and friends for a long time. The resumption of travel between China and Australia does not pose a direct public health threat to Australians.
Malaysia will also add additional tracking and monitoring measures for Chinese tourists.
Hong Kong, China previously stated that it planned to implement customs clearance in mid-January, and officials said that customs clearance would be carried out in stages.
Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration Chen Guoji said on Monday (January 2) that he would strive to implement the first phase of customs clearance as early as January 8. He also said that travelers from both places would be advised to take a nucleic acid test and obtain a negative result before passing through customs, but did not mention more details or any mandatory measures.
Taiwan, China regulations stipulate that passengers arriving from mainland China between January 1 and 31 will be required to undergo a nucleic acid test, and those with positive results must be quarantined at home. The first-day data released by the Taiwan Regional Epidemic Command Center stated that the results of testing of passengers from mainland China at Taoyuan Airport on January 1 showed that the positivity rate reached 27.8%. India requires passengers from five countries, including China, to provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate before entering the country. Those with positive results or symptoms will be quarantined.
North America
United States announced last Wednesday (December 28) the same prevention and control measures for Chinese tourists to "slow down" the spread of the new coronavirus.
Like Canada, the United States also allows people who have been infected with the new coronavirus within 10 years to enter the country with a new coronavirus recovery certificate.
Relevant regulations also apply to passengers entering the United States via a third country or transiting at a U.S. airport to a third country. The United States has also stated that it will "continue to monitor the situation" and adjust measures as needed.
Canada also announced that starting from January 5, passengers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate within two days for a temporary period of 30 days.
Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra said that based on the data obtained, a scientific approach will be used to respond to the epidemic to protect Canadians.
EU and the UK
Currently within the EU, only France, Spain and Italy have announced the implementation of testing measures for Chinese passengers.
France on Sunday urged EU countries to carry out new coronavirus tests on travelers from China.
The French government stated that passengers flying from China to France must provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate within 48 hours before departure.
In addition, France will randomly sample of incoming passengers for nucleic acid testing starting from January 1.
France and Spain did not specify when the measures would begin. The French ministries of health and transport said the government would issue a decree and notify EU member states.
Spain Chinese travelers arriving in the country are required to have a negative nucleic acid test certificate before departure. If they have been vaccinated against the new crown epidemic, they do not need to test. However, Spain does not recognize some Chinese new crown vaccines .

The UK Health Security Agency (UK Health Security Agency) will launch monitoring measures from January 8 to conduct sampling tests on passengers from China.
British Health Secretary Steve Barclay said that the British government is taking "thoughtful preventive measures" and said that the relevant measures are temporary in nature.
Relevant measures only apply to passengers arriving at airports in England. There are currently no direct flights from China to Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland .
Africa and the Middle East
Morocco is the first country to implement a comprehensive entry ban on travelers from China
Morocco will ban the entry of all travelers from China from January 3 "until further notice". The ban applies to people of any nationality.
A statement from the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision was made in response to the evolution of the situation related to the new crown epidemic in China, but emphasized that the ban will not affect "the deep friendship between the two peoples and the strategic cooperation relationship between the two countries."
Before the COVID-19 epidemic, hundreds of thousands of Chinese tourists visited Morocco every year.
Israel issued instructions to foreign airlines, requiring passengers from China to provide a COVID-19 negative certificate before entering the country. It also recommended that its citizens not travel to China temporarily unless necessary.
There are no countries that have implemented special measures
But not all countries and regions have implemented special measures for Chinese tourists - Germany, Switzerland and Portugal and other countries have not yet indicated that they will adopt new regulations for tourists from China.
But Germany's health minister said the country was trying to adapt its system to closely monitor new coronavirus variants at airports across Europe.
