Natheri was born in Suleiman, Iran. His father is an Iranian doctor and his mother is a Scottish nurse. His family conditions are relatively superior. Nasserry is well educated and has studied at the University of Bradford in the UK. In 1977, while studying in the UK, he participated in a tour against the Iranian government, so he was expelled from nationality by Iran. He had to apply for a refugee visa at the United Nations Refugee Agency in Belgium, and he was able to continue to stay in Europe with his refugee visa.
In 1985, a sudden and strange incident changed his life. Nasseri flew to France, but his luggage carrying a refugee visa was stolen. Because he did not have a certificate, he was first detained by the French police and then deported according to procedures. However, he had no nationality and no other country could accept him. He contacted the United Nations Refugee Agency in Belgium and wanted to apply for a reissue refugee visa. Since 1988, he has been staying at Charles de Gaulle Airport in France, but he has been unable to buy air tickets to any country, and even because he does not have a French visa, he cannot leave the airport and enter France.
