The "Taiwan Vision Association" established by Taiwan's deputy leader Lai Ching-te, yesterday launched a link between the 18-year-old citizenship issues, inviting party "legislators", parliamentarians, and electors to release a video of supporting 18-year-old citizenship. The party's public offices participating in the activities cover almost all factions within the party, but no members of the British were seen; together with the video posted by Lai Ching-te on Facebook, the DPP politicians below attracted a large number of DPP politicians to respond and leave messages, but there was no trace of the British.
Lai Ching-te posted a Facebook post saying that 18-year-old citizenship is a consensus among all political parties, but it requires a high threshold of 9.65 million votes of consent. "We have the responsibility to give young people confidence and support, so that young generations can also participate in the formulation of policies."
According to Taiwan's United Daily News, more than 50 Democratic Progressive Party public officials came to leave messages under the Facebook post, showing the situation of "Blue Gou" (big V) coming out of the laundered message area; however, in examining the faction to which the public officials of the message party belongs, in addition to the new trend of Lai Ching-te, members also left messages including "President Congress", Green Friendship Link, and Yongyan Association, but the British members were not seen.
Green Camp people said that there are always discussions within the party about the subtle relationship between Lai Ching-te and the British faction. This time, the cross- factional issues have been connected in a huge way, and the British faction did not participate, which has indeed given the outside world the imagination of the two sides in the 2024 "big throne" dispute.
