Just as people paid their last respect to Pithambaram, a gray monkey came over and sat next to the body.
Amid the shocked gaze of relatives and friends, the monkey placed his hand on Pithambalam's face many times. Monkeys were found to be checking intermittently whether Pithambaram was still breathing.
video shows that amid the sad cry of relatives, the monkey also pressed his face against Pithambaram, as if he was particularly sad. After confirming that Pithambaram really couldn't move, the monkey seemed to try to pull off a wreath covered by his body, and was stopped by the person next to him.
Later, Pithambalam's relatives heard that this was a long-tailed langur. Pithambalam had been fed for a while before his death and they became good friends.
The video of the long-tailed langur trying to awaken the owner has attracted people's attention on social media, and many people are moved by the true feelings of the monkey.
data shows that long-tailed langur is also known as Indian gray langur , mainly distributed in India and Bangladesh . They have a variety of habitats, and they can be seen from deserts, forests to cities, but long-tailed langurs generally like to live in groups.
