In 1997, I personally witnessed the moment when Hong Kong returned to the embrace of the motherland. I also witnessed and participated in the historical moment of integration and integration between Hong Kong and the motherland in the past 25 years. This is my honor and my pride.
Patriotism, Hong Kong and Macao are my original aspirations. With this original intention, I have always led the company to adhere to the policy of " one country, two systems " and actively integrate into the overall development of the country.
In 1999, the passenger ship business of the family business faced severe challenges. With full confidence in the future of the motherland and the SAR, I promoted my group to become one of the first Hong Kong companies to cooperate with state-owned enterprises, and created the world's largest high-speed passenger ship brand, creating a win-win situation. With the development of the Pearl River Delta region, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area plan has been launched. Passenger ships carry more than 10 million passengers to and from the Greater Bay Area seven major ports and international airports every year. Such forward-looking cooperation can not only promote the regional Cultural exchanges within the country can further promote the integrated development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
In 2003, with the introduction of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement and the Free Travel Plan, Hong Kong society was full of joy, and society, businesses and people all benefited from this national policy. At this time, with a grateful heart, I lead the family business to actively integrate into the country's development, develop tourism and leisure business across the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao SARs, and use my huge resource network to help build a comprehensive regional tourism complex. , actively responding to the national strategic development, which also coincides with the subsequent development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
I love culture and art. In my many years of work, I have always been thinking about how to leverage Hong Kong’s unique advantages in the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, create a platform for Chinese and Western cultural and artistic exchanges with innovative thinking, and promote the creation of rich Chinese culture and art. and appreciation, and regard this as one aspect of playing the "dual active role" of the Hong Kong and Macao members. To this end, I have submitted proposals many times, suggesting that we learn from Hong Kong’s experience in the cultural and art industry, promote the planning and construction of Beijing’s cultural and creative art district, and promote cultural industry development initiatives.

In 2016, as the vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Women's Federation, I organized the first joint exhibition of contemporary female artists in Hong Kong with the theme of "One Belt, One Road", integrating China, Central Asia, the Middle East and even women in European countries, using women’s views and perspectives on history, the present and the future, inspiring the diversity of culture, language and art, and inheriting and promoting the spirit of friendly cooperation along the Silk Road. As the ambassador of the Louvre China, I brought the "The Creation of the Louvre - Eight Hundred Years from the Palace to the Museum" treasure exhibition to Beijing and Hong Kong respectively, making high-end art civilian and popularized, hoping to inspire People in both places can inspire more innovative thinking. In the process of promoting cultural inheritance, I realized the importance of education about the national conditions of Hong Kong youth, so I have been sparing no effort to promote the cultivation of Hong Kong youth's love for the country and Hong Kong.
Looking back on the past 25 years, I personally experienced the moment when Hong Kong returned to the embrace of the motherland, grew up with Hong Kong, and cared about every moment of the changes in Hong Kong society. During these 14 years as a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, I have spent every time walking side by side with the motherland. My unswerving feelings for the motherland and my consistent feelings for Hong Kong have always been a strong motivation for me to serve Hong Kong and serve the motherland. Looking forward to the future, I will give full play to the "dual positive role" of Hong Kong's CPPCC members, do my best to provide advice and suggestions for Hong Kong's "one country, two systems" policy and long-term prosperity and stability, and join hands to embark on a new journey.
