Up to now, the company's investment in and transformation of environmental protection facilities has reached 249 million yuan, becoming the first thermal power company in Yining to complete the ultra-low emission transformation of desulfurization and denitrification.
China Coal Yili Energy Co., Ltd. has a total installed capacity of 660 MW, which is the support point for electricity and heat in Yining City. In recent years, the company has been proactively taking the lead, devoting itself to local environmental protection construction, continuing to upgrade and reforming equipment for environmental protection, continuously optimizing environmental protection indicators, and taking the road of green and efficient development.
In order to create "Yining Blue", the company has successively carried out ultra-low emission transformations on two generator sets, so that the emission of sulfur dioxide does not exceed 35mg/m³, nitrogen oxides does not exceed 50mg/m³, and dust does not exceed 10mg/m³. On the existing basis, it can reduce the emission of 300 tons of sulfur dioxide, 200 tons of nitrogen oxides, and 30 tons of smoke and dust each year, realizing that all the environmental parameters of the unit meet the national ultra-low emission standards.
In order to actively improve the quality of the urban air environment, the company has also strictly implemented the deployment of the blue sky defense battle in the past few days, and has actively carried out special actions to improve the air environment quality.
According to Jiang Dong, the company’s deputy general manager, some citizens currently have a misunderstanding about the smoke from the company’s ‘chimney’. In fact, because the power plant adopts wet flue gas desulfurization, the smoke from the chimney is not billowing black smoke, but a large amount of water vapor. When it is cold, it will form ‘white smoke’, which is actually fog. However, sometimes because of the light and angle problems, when you look at it from a distance, you will feel that the chimney is emitting black smoke, but in fact it is not. The flue gas emissions of power plants are all processed by technical means, and the emission standards are much lower than the standards set by the state and autonomous regions.
At present, the company’s actual heating area for Yining City has reached 14 million square meters. To ensure the stability of Yining’s heating system, the company adopts measures based on equipment operation conditions, system operation methods, climate change, and equipment weaknesses. Corresponding measures shall be taken to formulate special emergency plans to ensure that abnormalities can be dealt with in an orderly manner and to ensure stable heating throughout the city.
During the heating period, the company actively communicated and coordinated with the power dispatching department of the autonomous region,Continuously optimize the operation mode of the unit to effectively ensure the heating output and meet the heating user parameter requirements.
Especially when other heat sources of the Yining heating network failed and the heating area was reduced, the company faced difficulties, sacrificed the power generation load, increased the heating area, and regarded heating as a top priority, giving priority to heating. The service made the people warmer and warmer, won full affirmation and praise from the local government, and provided a satisfactory answer to the citizens of Yining.
From mid-October 2020 to March 7 this year, the company has operated safely and stably for 151 days with a total of 5.439 million GJ of heating, achieving a double harvest of environmental protection and heating targets.
