According to reports from Singapore's United Times, Malaysia Post and other media, on the 18th, the sensational murder case opened in the Singapore High Court.
In the trial statement, the prosecution pointed out that this was a murder case caused by "jealousy, anger and unyielding love".
Defendant Mo Shun and Ms. Zhang, who is 19 years younger than him, met in about 2011 when she was a restaurant employee at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Ms. Zhang was studying nurse courses at the time. After graduation, she went to work in the hospital and kept in touch with her former colleague Mo Shunhe. The two would occasionally go out to eat and go shopping, and the defendant would also give Ms. Zhang gifts.
However, Mo Shunhe was very obsessed with Ms. Zhang and treated her as her girlfriend, but the other party did not appreciate it and had never had an intimate relationship with him.

After he failed to have sex with Ms. Zhang in a house on Huan Road, Singapore, he used a bath towel to tighten the other person's neck for 2 minutes, causing him to die.
What is even more shocking is that he also attempted to sexually assault the female corpse, but he failed in the end.
After committing the crime, the defendant took Ms. Zhang's cash and mobile phone and fled back to Malaysia. Later, he was arrested by Malaysian police in April 2016 and deported back to Singapore.

Mo Shunhe earlier admitted that he was "very angry" at the time and wanted to kill Ms. Zhang.
His defense lawyer told the court that before killing Ms. Zhang, Mo Shunhe "suddenly temporarily lost his self-control."
Mo Shunhe is currently facing 3 charges, including murder, attempted to sexually assault a female corpse and rob property.
If he is convicted of murder, he will face death penalty .
