You Shouzhong is a full-time associate professor and department director of the Department of Culture, Creativity and Design of Nankai University of Science and Technology. He has served as the director of the Nantou County Cultural Bureau and the deputy director of the Yuxiu Art Museum. His paintings have won numerous awards. His works have been exhibited and collected in many well-known art museums on and off the island. This time, he held the "You-You Shouzhong, Oil Painting Creation Solo Exhibition" at the Zhongyou Fashion Gallery. You Shouzhong said: "Most of these paintings are inspired by literary works and express the conception of the picture from the text. Literature and movies are good nutrition for creation. The "realities" in many works are derived from literature or movies. Are there any places in the paintings explained in reality? You Shouzhong said: I think there is! When one day you encounter a place you have painted on your journey, the throbbing in your heart will be very strong."
You Shouzhong introduced: "The paintings exhibited this time mostly depict the mountains and rivers of Nantou, my hometown. When I created "Spring in Prague", the foreground depicts the scenery of Prague, and the future scenes unconsciously painted them again. Every artist will have his own usual style when leaving Nantou. "Handle Zhang Guangbei, former executive director of Zhongyou Department Store, said: "Although the department store is affected by the epidemic and the number of people coming to the store is not as popular as before, Zhongyou Department Store has never given up on its business of art. Through the Zhongyou Fashion Gallery, artists can have room to publish their works."
Zhongyou Fashion Gallery also invited You Shouzhong to donate a total of 100,000 yuan (the same as New Taiwan dollars) of work "Remembering the Old" and obtained the authorization of Teacher You Shouzhong to develop 7 joint paintings of artists at night lights for sale.
