The consensus between the two is that only a small number of automotive semiconductors use advanced processes, and most of them are about 80% of them are mature processes. According to reports, Wei Zhejia once analyzed that about 80% of the chips in automotive semiconductors use mature process above 28 nanometers, and only 20% use advanced processes below 14 nanometers.

Huang Chongren believes that starting from Tesla , since electric vehicles adopt modular design, the time required for testing chip reliability is not that long, which brings revolutionary changes and has also made major changes in the role of semiconductors in automotive electronics.
