On April 10, world golf king Scottie Scheffler (Scottie Scheffler) defeated Cameron Smith and Rory McIlroy in three strokes to win the 2022 Masters Championship, winning the first major victory in his career. He won four championships in less than two months (2/13 - 4/10), setting a PGA Tour record.

Scottie Scheffler won the 2022 Masters Championship
Before 2002, only four Masters winners ranked seventh in green approach success rate. Scheffler also continued this fine tradition, with a green approach success rate of 68.6%, ranking fifth.
Scheffler’s irons are essentially modeled after five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods’ set. "I thought the club he was using must be great," Scheffler said. "So I tried it on the field last winter and found that the ball control performance was better than the irons I had used before, so I had more options when attacking the greens." Scheffler's TaylorMade P7TW irons are paired with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips.
Scheffler's greenside short play is also remarkable, helping him lay the foundation for victory on every putt on many occasions. Scheffler uses Titleist Vokey SM8 wedges with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts. Six of Scheffler's seven green misses in the final round were all-in, including a chip-in.
Scheffler’s 8-degree TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver also performed well, especially in the windy third round. Fowler used Titleist Pro V1 balls in sizes 5 through 8 at the Masters because he said they were easier to identify.
