Ma Xiaowei said that the current epidemic situation is relatively severe and complex, and it is in a critical period of prevention and control. From the perspective of transmission scope, the current epidemic in is showing an outbreak in Wuhan and has spread across the country. The main epidemic outbreak is still in Wuhan, Hubei. There are also confirmed and suspected cases in 30 provinces in the country except Tibet. Neighboring countries have also found cases, and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. From the perspective of transmission characteristics, the patient's early body temperature is not high, or normal, and there are many mild cases, the infectiousness of the virus tends to increase, and the source of infection when walking greatly increases the difficulty of prevention and control. The understanding of the novel coronavirus is still very limited, and the source of infection has not yet been found to spread the pathogenic mechanism and the risk of mutation are still unclear. In other words, a new infectious disease, if the virus changes, there will be some new situations within a period of time, and the degree of harm of the virus to people of different ages is still changing.
Ma Xiaowei said that according to the experience of the SARS period, three to four months from discovery to outbreak prevalence, some patients with mild symptoms in the early stage have observed that the incubation period of is about 10 days, the shortest incubation period is one day, and the longest incubation period is 14 days. The incubation period is contagious, which is very different from SARS.
Ma Xiaowei said that judging from the speed of the epidemic development, the epidemic will continue for a while, and it is a possible phenomenon to see some cases in the future. As Wuhan area takes personnel control measures, corresponding measures on the first-level health emergency practice have been proposed across the country. The intensity of prevention and control work will be further strengthened, and prevention and control measures will gradually take effect over a period of time, and the epidemic intensity will decrease.
