The Poles may have had enough of Ukrainian refugees.
According to Polish TVP2 (TVP2), recently, former Polish Army Commander Waldemar Skrzypzak publicly stated on the program that Ukrainian refugees in Poland , France, and Germany should be forcibly recruited from now on, let them enlist in the army, conduct military training on them, and send them back to Ukraine to participate in combat.
The former commander said bluntly, During World War II, French refugees overseas formed an army of 80,000 people. The current Ukrainian refugees should be able to do the same. "Don't care about their wishes. Don't ask these refugees whether they want to be soldiers. They must join the army to defend Ukraine and fight the Russians."

Although Skrzypczak’s words are not official opinions, they seem to reveal an important message, which is: Poleshave had enough of Ukrainian refugees.
According to data reported by the Polish Border Guard, after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, at least 7.72 million Ukrainian refugees entered Poland. Although some people later went to other countries, more than 1 million people still stayed in Poland, most of whom were old, young, women and children.
Among them, about 650,000 Ukrainians are in need of employment, and 400,000 have found jobs. This has severely squeezed the original living space of the Poles and caused many Poles to complain.

A few days ago, the local Ukrainian media Obozrevatel reported that many Ukrainian refugees received notices from the Polish government, requiring them to return the monthly welfare payment of 500 zlotys (approximately RMB 780) issued by Poland.
Some of these people have already left Poland, but Polish officials are still paying them welfare benefits; some are still in Poland, but were "accidentally injured" by Polish officials.
But Ukrainian refugees who left saw it differently. Many of them reported to the Polish government before leaving, closed their local bank accounts, and did not receive subsequent money at all. Now the Polish government is asking them to pay back the money. In their view, this is the Polish official "robbing" these displaced poor people.

At the end of last year, the " New York Times " also reported that the Polish government had passed a draft legislation and decided to charge Ukrainian refugees for accommodation and living expenses. Living expenses : If the refugee has been living in an accommodation center provided by the Polish government and entered Poland for more than 120 days, he or she needs to pay 50% of the rent, no more than $8.83 per person per day; if the refugee has entered Poland for more than 180 days, he or she needs to pay 75% of the rent, no more than $13.25 per person per day.

Among many Polish cities, the capital Warsaw is the city that accepts the largest number of Ukrainian refugees. Therefore, in this city, demonstrations against Ukrainian refugees will break out from time to time. Due to public opposition and the financial constraints of the Warsaw city government, they have canceled some benefits for Ukrainians, such as free public transportation, and have also reduced welfare benefits for refugees.

Of course, some Ukrainian refugees do take things too far . At the end of November last year, a large number of Ukrainian refugees held a massive protest in front of the hotel because free meals and accommodation were canceled in a Polish hotel. Not long ago, a Ukrainian refugee attempted to rob a Polish bank with a knife, but was successfully stopped by an old Polish woman with an elderly cane. There were also media reports that a group of Ukrainian refugees once beat a Polish man to death in the street. These security risks that appear from time to time naturally make Poles even more disgusted with Ukrainian refugees.

However, even if Poles resent Ukrainian refugees, Skrzypzak’s proposal is a bit too much.After all, most of these refugees are old people, women and children. Let them go to the battlefield. Does Skrzypzak intend to make Ukraine "extinct"?
