On April 8, the Chinese Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control held the 2022 animal quarantine work meeting in video form, implementing the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and the requirements of the Party Group of the Ministry, adhering to supply as the key, epidemic prevention first, and green leadership, deeply analyzing the current situation and tasks facing animal quarantine supervision work, and comprehensively promoting the implementation of this year's key tasks. Deputy Director of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Wang Gongmin , and Director of the China Animal Epidemic Prevention and Control Center Chen Weisheng attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The
meeting pointed out that in 2021, the animal health supervision agencies at all levels conscientiously implement the various arrangements and deployments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and carry out all work in a solid manner. The number of animal quarantine has increased significantly, the designated channel system for animal epidemic prevention, the main body of livestock and poultry transportation and vehicle filing system have been implemented in an orderly manner, the closed-loop management of animal quarantine supervision information has taken solid steps, the animal quarantine supervision laws and regulations have been continuously improved, and the animal quarantine supervision work has been steadily and improved, and positive results have been achieved. The meeting required that animal health supervision agencies at all levels should always stand at the height of the overall situation of the "three rural issues", improve their awareness, strengthen their responsibilities, scientifically analyze the current situation, and continue to do a solid and detailed job in animal quarantine supervision. We must actively promote the construction of animal health supervision agencies, strictly manage animal quarantine teams, standardize animal quarantine work, strengthen livestock and poultry transportation supervision, do a good job in zoning prevention and control, improve the informatization of animal quarantine supervision, make greater contributions to maintaining the production safety and public health safety of the breeding industry, and welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with practical actions.
