Golden Gate Bridge is a landmark of , San Francisco, USA. Since its opening in 1937, more than 1,300 people have committed suicide here, but Kevin Hines not only survived, but also encountered incredible things.
According to foreign media psychalive, in 2000, Hines, who was only 19 years old, suffered from manic depression and mental disorders, so he jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge.
You should know that jumping from the Kinmen Bridge is a bit of a bad chance, because the bridge is more than 200 meters high, and people will fall to the sea at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Moreover, it is the rough Pacific Ocean. In history, less than 1% of bridge jumpers will be spared.
Fortunately, Hines plunged into the cold sea water and floated up again, but he was seriously injured. It would be difficult for him to hold on for too long on his own. Unexpectedly, something miraculous happened at this time.
According to Hines's recollection, he felt something rubbing through his leg after falling into the water. Because he was worried that it was a shark, he tried to hit it, but the animal just hovered under him and pushed him up.
Later, Hines (pictured below) saw clearly that this was a sea lion.
This is not Hines' imagination. Someone at the scene claimed that he saw the sea lion, and the audience later told the TV station that he had taken photos of the sea lion.
At that time, a woman drove by and saw someone on the sea. She immediately notified the nearby Coast Guard , and Hines was finally rescued.
In fact, no one would have thought that a sea lion saved Hines. If it weren't for the sea lion pushing him out of the sea, he wouldn't have been seen, and there would have been no such legendary story.
Today, Hines is a mental health advocate, speaking at events around the world to prevent suicide.
