While the vast number of migrant workers embark on the road to return home, many Taiwanese compatriots on the other side of the strait have also returned to the mainland to visit their relatives and celebrate the New Year. In the Quanzhou city of Fujian Province, a group of Taiwanese compatriots felt the development and changes of the motherland in a special way while visiting relatives during the Chinese New Year. On the morning of January 31, nine Taiwanese compatriots came to the Fuxia Railway Construction Site of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau and witnessed the construction of the high-speed railway in the motherland with their own eyes.
Fuxia High-speed Railway is led out from Fuzhou South Station , and goes south through Putian , Quanzhou, Xiamen North Station to Zhangzhou . The new line is 277.42 kilometers long. As an important channel for the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" southeast coastal high-speed railway, the Fuzhou-Xiamen High-speed Railway is the first high-speed railway in Fujian Province with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour and the first cross-sea high-speed railway in my country. The entire line started construction in September 2017 and is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2022. By then, the trip from Fuzhou to Xiamen will be reduced to within 1 hour, and the "high-speed rail to Beijing" will be realized from Xiamen to Beijing.

The 5th standard of Fuxia Railway undertaken by China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau includes 27 sections of roadbed, 19 bridges, 24 culverts, and 7 tunnels, with a total length of 39.3 kilometers. During the construction process, the project department adheres to the construction goal of "high-quality projects, intelligent welfare and Xiamen", and integrates the concept of "eight highs and nine constructions" throughout the entire construction process. "Intelligent Control Information Center" is a microcosm of the intelligent and informatization construction of the five-standard projects.
"We use the Beidou satellite positioning system independently developed by my country, which can position each construction machine in real time to maximize management efficiency." Zhang Wenxu, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Shanghai Engineering Bureau of China Railway Shanghai, pointed to the large screen of the Intelligent Control Center and introduced to the visitors. The Intelligent Control Center is connected to electronic sandbox , remote monitoring of important processes, tunnel access control system, video conferencing system and other equipment. 18 screens are constantly changing the screen, and the construction site's project progress, personnel dynamics, equipment status, test data, etc. are clear at a glance. This real-time monitoring function can also be realized through the mobile APP. Du Minghua, a Taiwanese compatriot who came to visit, said excitedly, "If our motherland continues to develop like this, the future achievements will be unimaginable."

Taiwanese compatriots visited the "Intelligent Control Center" of the New Fuxia Railway 5th Project Command of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau. After nine o'clock in the morning, Taiwanese compatriots, led by construction personnel, came to the construction site of Haiwei Tunnel. Although the Spring Festival is approaching, in order to ensure the progress of the project, the workers still stick to their posts and fight for construction periods, and the tunnel is full of hard work. After seeing the scene, Taiwanese compatriot Zhou Ronghuang sighed, "The current high-speed rail construction technology has far exceeded my imagination. I have witnessed the rapid progress of infrastructure construction for more than ten years since I came to the mainland. In the past, I used to take buses, and now I am well connected, especially the progress of high-speed rail technology, which really surprised me."
The tunnel construction is equipped with advanced equipment such as jet concrete robots, self-propelled arch trench, gutter cable trench mobile form frames, large side unloading loaders, hydraulic lining trolleys, etc., which fully realizes mechanized construction and greatly improves operating efficiency and construction safety. In addition, the site also uses advanced equipment such as geological radar scanner, tunnel laser section instrument, tunnel surrounding rock monitoring and measurement system, and ultra-under-excavation automatic monitoring instrument, which can comprehensively control the quality of tunnel construction; at the same time, Beidou positioning system is configured to establish Bluetooth connection with the level, intelligently collect data, and analyze the measurement results on site. "The data will eventually be uploaded directly to the engineering information management platform of the Railway Corporation," said Yang Zaixing, project chief engineer of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau.

Here, the pile foundation steel bar cage processing assembly line, steel bar CNC bending center, CNC steel bar cutting machine , and plasma cutting equipment have changed the past manual welding to mechanical automatic processing, and the "factory" operation model is very eye-catching. Taiwanese compatriot Wu Jingming said: "The support of high technology has greatly accelerated the pace of national railway construction. In 2009, I started construction business in Xiamen. At that time, I had a very backward impression. At that time, I only had one train a day when I arrived in Jiangxi. Now there are dozens of flights a day, and the changes are too big!"
