At the launch ceremony of the finals, Bao Haiyan, deputy mayor of Xishan District People's Government, delivered a welcome speech. As an important event for the annual cross-strait e-sports exchange, the cross-strait college student e-sports competition has successfully entered its sixth year. Following the first stop of the 2022 Cross-Strait College Student E-sports Competition in Nanjing in July, this event was held in the famous industrial and commercial city of Wuxi . In Wuxi, the atmosphere of e-sports is becoming increasingly strong. Zhu Mo, executive vice president of Wuxi E-sports Industry Association, introduced that in order to cope with this competition, the participating students have added pre-match tactical tutoring through coaching training and offline teaming, and the students have prepared for the game all night, and the atmosphere is strong. It is reported that Wuxi College has a "e-sports major" and many universities in Taiwan have special e-sports clubs. College students on both sides of the Taiwan Strait have achieved outstanding results in the field of e-sports events. e-sports game competition is a competition event that enters the Asian Games. The competitiveness and fairness it shows make more people realize that it is not just a game, but also a reflection of a competitive spirit, and pursues self-improvement and teamwork.

This cross-strait college students' e-sports competition is themed "competing on the same stage, 'electricity' to highlight the future". After the preliminary selection, more than 60 college students' e-sports enthusiasts from 12 universities on both sides of the Taiwan Strait entered the finals. After fierce competition, Nanjing Normal University won the championship, Taiwan Asian University won the runner-up, and Wuxi Vocational and Technical College won the third place.
