The final decision will be held at 1 pm on November 10, and all five parties will be present. As for whether the time has been debated the longest time? Su Qizhen, manager of the Public Television News Department, said that because it is close to the election, all camps have arranged activities, and everyone seeks common ground while reserving differences and finally reaches this conclusion.
Su Qizhen said that this time, it was quite fast to consider, and it was not easy to get the consent form of five parties. After obtaining the consent of all parties, he decided to simplify the complex and adopt three paragraphs of essay, cross-question, and conclusion. In other words, this time, we will leave more time to ask questions and answers between candidates, and better understand our vision for Taipei's governance.
Su Qizhen said that in the past, there were representatives of the public who held debates, but this time it was considered that time was tight, so no media or public asked questions this time, so more time was left for the five mayor candidates. In addition, there are many candidates this time, and it takes more time to understand each other and confront each other's policies, so all parties agree with this form.
As for how to allocate the three debate time? Su Qizhen said that the essays are 6 minutes each, and the first paragraph is about 30 minutes; the cross-question part is 2 minutes, and the answer is 2 minutes, which is about 50 minutes in total; the third paragraph is 6 minutes each, plus the host's show, the intermission is 5 minutes, and the entire debate is scheduled for 125 minutes.
