Recently, the Taiwan Defense Department announced the 2021 military academy recruitment plan, and is expected to recruit 18,294 officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers.
Taiwan has implemented the comprehensive recruitment system since 2018. Simply put, soldiers are employees, the military is the employer, the two parties are labor contractual relationships, and the motivation for young people to serve is based on getting remuneration.

Jie Zhong, a researcher at the Taiwan Defense Department, said that although Taiwan reached the target of 90% of the organizational ratio at the end of last year, this is because the army's organizational adjustment has reduced the army's combat troops by 7 battalions and 3,000 people.
