Zhao Chunshan said that the United States will not help Taiwan depends on the situation. The United States will not fight for "Taiwan independence", but will fight for the indispensable interests of the United States. This is a difference.
He pointed out that the "1992 Consensus" is not equivalent to "one country, two systems" as the DPP said, but it is indeed required to make it clear, so even if the Kuomintang returns to power, it is impossible to return to the past "ununification".
Zhao Chunshan said that in the future, we should pay attention to the South China Sea before the US election, and the next critical year will be 2022. Before the US election, you should pay attention to the South China Sea issue and be careful that Taiwan will be involved.
Zhao Chunshan is the core think tank of Ma Ying-jeou's cross-strait policy. He was once the chairman of the "Asia-Pacific Peace Research Foundation" policy think tank with official background in Taiwan.
