Beijing time April 9: Texas Tech freshman guard Nimari Burnett announced that he would transfer to the University of Alabama.

Burnett was the first McDonald's All-Star player to sign with Texas Tech, but he only played 12 games on the team and left early in January for personal reasons. He averaged 5.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in his freshman season, and his shooting percentage was only 28%.

Burnett, 6-4, weighs 190 pounds, transferred to the University of Alabama, the school won 26 wins and 7 losses last season, won the regular season and championships of the SEC League, won the No. 2 seed in the East District in the NCAA Championship, but lost to UCLA in overtime in the Sweet 16.
