Billiards are unfamiliar to many people. What is the charm of this sport? What are the excellences of billiard players? Is it difficult to play billiards? Yang Ming, who has more than 30 years of experience in billiards, will unveil the mystery of billiards for us...

From a football player to a billiards owner
September 18, 43-year-old Yang Ming said in an interview with Huashang Daily-Er Sanli Information, "I slowly got into billiards when I was 8 years old. At that time, billiards were just popular in China, and I often saw people put dozens of billiards tables in the square, 50 cents a game. I was curious at the time of watching it, but I couldn't play." Yang Ming explained that an uncle set up a billiard table in a club in a factory. Every weekend he would go to help clean up and play billiards as soon as school was over, "I would go and play after school. Basically, I spent all my spare time playing billiards." Since then, he has formed an indissoluble bond with billiards.
But what is unimaginable is that Yang Ming was once a professional football player. He started to be involved in football at the age of 10, joined the Xianyang football team at the age of 12, and joined the Shaanxi Provincial Football Team through provincial selection at the age of 16, and has also played many games. Yang Ming admitted that the reason why he did not choose billiards was because parents felt that playing billiards was a bit like a gangster. At that time, billiards were not widely popular in China, so he listened to the advice of the physical education teacher and chose football. But during the football period, Yang Ming did not completely give up billiards and often asked friends to play billiards on weekends.
In 1998, Yang Ming was assigned to the school to be a physical education teacher. "At that time, I felt that the teacher's salary was low, and I had a strong personality. I wanted to change my financial situation. In addition, I liked to play billiards, so I opened a billiards hall. The next year, I resigned from the school to concentrate on the store." After a lot of twists and turns, Yang Ming finally chose his favorite billiards industry.
To withstand the pressure, I can win in one shot
In 2005, Yang Ming began to conduct professional training for billiards players. "I just wanted to train a Shaanxi Provincial Ranking Championship champion, and my apprentice was also very successful. After achieving this goal, I wanted to train a national champion, and the next one was the world champion..." Yang Ming said that the "small goal" he set was to survive step by step, and every step was steadily taken.
mentioned the most impressive game. Yang Ming said that when playing the Chinese Youth Snooker Championship in 2013, his apprentice Chen Zifan almost didn't participate. "At that time, he played billiards while going to school, but he never got any results. His family wanted him to give up playing billiards and concentrate on his studies. I forced him to play games during the competition. His parents said that if he didn't win this competition, he would let him give up billiards completely..." Yang Ming recalled that he tried hard to persuade Chen Zifan that his level could be won. This competition was to relax and adjust his mood, but he didn't expect that he would win the championship.
Yang Ming recalled, "At that time, he was behind his opponent 0-3, and his opponent was very strong. He was the champion of the World Youth Championship. Chen Zifan was 62 points behind in the decisive game, which means that he must not leave any opportunities for his opponent and clear the counter at one time to win. I think because he is strong enough and his mentality is relaxed, he can withstand the huge pressure, unexpectedly win with one shot! "In fact, billiards often have miracles of "one ball changes the future". This game has strengthened Chen Zifan's psychological quality and affirmed his confidence, which has made him more focused on playing billiards. Since that game, Chen Zifan completely gave up his studies and focused on playing billiards.
Yang Ming said, "Some athletes will give up once they fall behind. But high-shui platform players cannot see these emotions on the surface. It can be said that they are not surprised by favors and disgraces. Once I give me a chance, I will reverse and win you. This is a very rare ability. It requires the confidence gained from practice over time and the coach's on-demand broadcast when I am temporarily frustrated..."
mentioned the future development of billiards. Yang Ming admitted that the post-00s and post-00s generations know very little about this sport. In addition, playing billiards belongs to "one person's sport", without teams and no dependencies. It belongs to one person's combat, so it attaches great importance to personal abilities.Yang Ming said, "I hope to make more people like billiards. This sport is quite niche. It will take a long process to let students enter the billiards room."

19-year-old billiards player Li Shirong said that he has been learning to play billiards for 4 years. "Every goal makes me feel magical, and I also feel that I am very handsome, and I really like this feeling." Currently, Li Shirong is ranked 50th in the China Snooker Tour. For future development, he hopes that he can improve faster and then go to a bigger stage.
