Team History
Philadelphia Phillies was founded in 1883. In the early days of the team's establishment, the team's name was Quakers, and the next year it was renamed Philadelphias, which became a common team name. Soon after, the team's English name was shortened to Phillies[4]. During the period from 1884 to 1889, the Quakers and the Phillies interacted with each other, and it was not until 1890 that the Phillies became the official team name and have been used until now. In 1938, the Phillies moved their home court from Baker Bowl to Connie Mack Stadium, but this did not increase much for the number of spectators, because from 1938 to 1942, the Phillies were at the bottom of the league for five consecutive seasons, which made the Phillies' reputation in the National League quickly increase, but it was a bad reputation. In February 1943, the league began to control some debt teams. They sold the team to William D. Cox in New York, a leader of a group. After buying the team, Cox almost did not pay attention to the development of players. Later, the team turned to the hands of DuPont Robert M. Carpenter and son of Derawai, and became president with Robert Jr. The young Carpenter initially wanted to change the team's image with the name "Blue Jays", but the new name was not accepted. The plan was stopped in 1949 and changed to establish a minor league system as an alternative. This plan also brought some baseball Hall of Fame players from the Phillies, such as Richie Ashburn and Robin Roberts, and the title of Whiz Kids also appeared at this time. After 1950, the Phillies' record began to become mediocre, without particularly outstanding results, and the title of child prodigy disappeared. In 1963, they rose to 4th in the second half of the season; in 1964, with pitcher Jim Bunning from the Detroit Tigers and infielder Dick Allen of the Major League Baseball Rookie of the Year Award, the Phillies began in August with a record of 6.5 wins from 2nd place. However, at the end of September, the last 12 games lost 10 consecutive games and lost the lead, and the St. Louis Cardinals won the first place, while the Phillies only maintained the second place record. In 1970, the Phillies' last season at Connie Mack Stadium, after the season ended, moved to the new Veterans Stadium and wore a new maroon jersey, hoping that the team would make a new change. In 1974, third baseman Mike Schmidt became one of the best long-dribble players in the league. Although the Phillies had excellent record in the first half of the season, their record gradually declined between August and September and they lost the opportunity to enter the playoffs, but this low did not last long. From 1976 to 1978, the Phillies won the National League East Championship for three consecutive years, but lost the game in the National League Championship. On December 16, 2009, the team conducted a three-party transaction, trading Cliff Lee from this season to Seattle Mariners, and from Toronto Bluebirds to Loy Halleday. On May 29, Halleday scored a complete game against Florida Marlins . In June, because Toronto is going to hold the 2010 G20 Toronto Summit, the two away games against the Toronto Blue Jays, originally scheduled to be held at the Rogers Center from June 25 to 27, were held at the Phillies at home. Because it is the home game of the American League, there can be a designated blow. This is also the first time that there will be a designated blow in the National League team's home court. In this game, the team arranged Ryan Howard as the designated blow. After the end of the 2010 season, the Phillies continued to win the East District championship and also won the division championship for four consecutive years. This year, the Phillies were the best team in the major league with 97 wins and 65 losses. The record in September was 20 wins and 5 losses, which was the best record in September since 1983, and also won 11 consecutive victories during this period. On July 29, the team traded Loy Oswah from the Houston Astros to enhance the pitcher's combat power. In Game 1 of the 2010 National League Divisional Tournament, Halleday threw the second playoffs in the major league history, helping the team beat the Cincinnati Heroes 3-0, and the Phillies eliminated the Heroes with three consecutive wins in this series. In the 2010 National League Championship, the Philadelphia's opponent was San Francisco Giants. In the end, he only won 2 wins and 4 losses, and was eliminated, missing the National League Championship for three consecutive years. On December 15, 2010, the Phillies signed Cliff Lee with a five-year contract of $120 million, bringing Lee back to the Phillies. Phillies today led the team with the starting pitcher Aaron Nola 6.2 innings, plus Bryce Harper's first shot, defeated Cardinals 2:0, and won two consecutive victories in the NFC wild card battle. Since 2011, he has entered the NFC division series again, and will face the Warriors next. The Phillies team announced today (11th) that it would "remove it immediately" and upgrade its acting head coach Rob Thomso to its official head coach with a two-year contract renewal. The partition series started on the 12th, and the first combination to appear was the National League Phillies vs. the Warriors. The defending Warriors showed their usual resilience in the second half of the 9th innings, but the Phillies caused too much damage in the first half. In the end, the Phillies narrowly won 7-6 and took the lead in the five-game three-winning game. The Warriors ace left-handed shot Max Fried was greatly out of control and was scored 6 points in 3.1 games. Wheeler also made 6 innings, 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. Although he was only hit 4 hits, the 6-stop turbulence made him lose 3 points and eventually took on the defeat. In addition, he was suppressed by Kyle Wright, who was the winner of the NL League, and made the MLB Philadelphia Phillies finally blocked by the Atlanta Warriors 0-3 and equalized the game in the National League Division Series. Major League Baseball Playoffs National League Division Series, Atlanta Warriors continued to play against Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park today (16th). The Warriors who were 1-2 behind in the series were irreversible, but were bombed by the Phillies with heavy artillery first, and were hit by the mid-game again. In the end, the Phillies won 8-3 at home, and won 3 wins and 1 defeat in the series to advance to the National League championship game. Next, they will face the San Diego Padres in the National League championship game. MLB NF Championship Series first game suppressed the Philadelphia Philadelphia, who had only 1 hit by the San Diego Padres. Today (20th) continued to face the San Diego Padres in the away game Petco Park. Unlike the pitcher style in the previous game, G2 formed a strike battle. Although the Philadelphia took the lead, the Padres chased with heavy artillery and made up 5 points before the midfield to lay the foundation for the victory. In the end, the Padres lost 5-8 to the Padres, and the series was 1-1. 1978 to 2003, the Phillies selected a player every year to be a player who contributed to the Phillies and the athletes. Since 2004, only one player has joined each year. The player must have played for the Phillies and the Athletics team for at least four years and retired from the team. was selected in 2004.
