In early autumn, at the construction site of the second phase of Hengdong Highway located in Beigang Village, Nantang Town, workers are scrambling to strive for opening to traffic before the end of the year.
Since this year, Nantang Town has aimed at building "Strong Nantang, Vibrant Nantang, Charming Nantang", focusing on the construction of "big people's livelihood", focusing on industrial development, environmental improvement, social governance and other work, and making active explorations to promote high-quality development and achieve common prosperity.
Industrial upgrading draws a blueprint for development
As the "one horizontal" of Nantang Town's "two verticals, one horizontal, one ring and one island", after the Hengdong Highway is completed, it will open up the north and south ends of the town and become the "main artery" to promote industrial development. "Nantang Town has more than 200 industrial enterprises. In order to create the best business environment for the development of more local enterprises, we are further accelerating the construction of supporting projects for the first phase of the park and the preliminary work of the second phase of the park." Zheng Juhai, deputy mayor of Nantang Town, introduced that the town has invested more than 13 million yuan in the construction of road network projects and supporting facilities in the equipment manufacturing park (Phase I), striving to provide efficient and safe logistics and transportation guarantees for the park. At present, the land filling in the early stage of the project has been completed and construction will be completed by the end of December this year.
In addition, Nantang Town actively responded to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government on the renovation and upgrading of old factories, and made every effort to promote the "emptying the cage and replacing birds". From the second half of last year to the end of this year, the town implemented 7 old factory renovation projects with a renovation area of 28,000 square meters.
"We have always wanted to add two production lines and primary forming machines and other automation equipment, but the space is not enough. After the factory is upgraded and renovated, the available area has been expanded by nearly twice." Chen Leilei, head of Zhejiang Leding Corrugated Pipe Co., Ltd., said that after the renovation of the old factory, it will change from the original single-story to four and a half floors, with an additional area of more than 7,000 square meters, and the annual output value is expected to increase by more than 30%.

Nantang Village Farmers' Market Temporary Drainage Point, Donggang Village Longzhushan Park, Xiaohengb Village Wharf Waiting Pavilion... Since the beginning of this year, all villages in Nantang Town have taken "focusing on small projects and serving the big people's livelihood" as their mission and have continuously improved the welfare of people's livelihood.
"Go, go under the bridge to play basketball!" Recently, the lighted basketball court in Zhushan Village has become "hot". This is one of the nine "micro-practical things for people's livelihood" in Nantang Town. The two committees of Zhushan Village make full use of more than 4,000 square meters of space under the expressway bridge and plan to create high-standard lighting basketball courts, football courts, tennis courts and two parking lots.
"This field under the highway bridge is too wasteful, so we just wanted to use it. We didn't expect it to be so popular. The basketball court alone has to hold 2-3 games every week!" Lin Sunxiao, a cadre of Zhushan Village, said that after the project was completed at the end of June this year, it attracted many people from surrounding townships to drive to exercise.
In Sanjiang Village, a 6-meter-wide mountain road has taken shape. A year ago, this place was still a dead end. Villagers could only take the Hongnan Line when entering and leaving the village. When the Hongnan Line was blocked, travel became a big problem.
After the new two committees of Sanjiang Village took office, they immediately planned to open up and broaden this road to ensure smooth travel among villagers.
"The roadbed has been completed and will be basically opened to traffic after the road surface is poured." Mr. Huang, a villager who actively participated in the construction of the highway, said that the original dead-end road in the village has now become a wide and flat mountain-surrounding road, and everyone is full of expectations for this.
