Admissions Re-examination Admissions Methods
Due to the impact of the epidemic, our school's 2020 spring graduate admissions re-examination is carried out in a remote form online. Please follow the following steps to prepare for the exam:
1. Read the relevant notices of the school and department, and understand the re-examination process
Candidates must log in to the "Policies and Regulations" column of the Tsinghua University Graduate Entrance Examination Network (http://yz.tsinghua.edu.cn) in advance to study the "Measures for Handling Violations of the National Education Examination" and the "Tsinghua University 2020 Remote Re-examination Examination Room Rules" to ensure that they have a full understanding of the relevant policies and regulations of the re-examination.
The online remote re-examination session may include online remote interview, online remote written examination, online remote computer examination, submission of additional materials, etc. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the relevant provisions of the re-examination written examination in the 2020 admission brochure and the admission major catalog have been adjusted. All re-examination arrangements shall be subject to the subsequent notice of the department. Candidates in the online remote re-examination should carefully read the department notices and understand the re-examination arrangements and material submission requirements of the department/professional.
2. Do a good job in software installation and software and hardware testing
Network remote re-examination candidates should prepare the software and hardware conditions and network environment according to the department requirements, install the designated software in advance, and cooperate with the network remote re-examination software test according to the department requirements. Candidates generally need to participate in the re-examination with dual-camera mode, that is, they need two devices with cameras, either mobile phone or computer. One device shoots from the front and the other device shoots from the rear of the candidate's side. Please prepare and cooperate with the test according to the department’s requirements in advance. If there are any difficulties, report to the department in time and communicate well.
3. Online remote qualification review and integrity commitment letter read out
Candidates should connect to the academic affairs teachers of the department to conduct online remote qualification review according to the time required by the department notice and the form of online remote qualification review. The network remote qualification review and network remote re-examination software testing process of some departments shall be merged, subject to the arrangements of the departments. Before the online remote qualification review of
, the following materials should generally be prepared (but not limited to the following scope, subject to the notice of the department):
(1) admission ticket;
(2) original and a copy of valid ID card (front and back);
(3) candidate self-report (including political performance, foreign language proficiency, business and scientific research ability, research plan);
(4) original and copy of academic degree certificate (supported to fresh graduates);
(5) original transcripts during college or copy of transcripts in archives (supported with the red seal of the archive unit).

Regardless of whether you are admitted or not, the submitted materials (including transcripts) will not be returned. Candidates who have not conducted qualification review or have failed the qualification review will not be admitted.

4. Pay the re-examination fee
Candidates must complete the re-examination fee payment through the online payment platform (yz.tsinghua.edu.cn) before participating in the re-examination. The fee standard is 100 yuan. Those who have not participated in the re-examination for various reasons after payment will not refund the re-examination fee paid. Candidates who have paid the re-examination fee will no longer be charged repeatedly for participating in the re-examination on campus.
5. Online remote re-examination

6. Admission related regulations
1. Every candidate who intends to admit must go through all the re-examination steps specified in the majors of the department. The total score is the sum of the preliminary examination score and the re-examination score. The calculation method for the re-examination score is formulated by each department based on the characteristics of the subject and published on the websites of each department. Each department will select the best candidates who participate in the re-examination according to the total score.
2. In the re-examination, those who score less than 60 points; those who fail the assessment of ideological and political quality and moral quality; those who fail the additional courses of candidates with the same academic qualifications will all be considered as failing the re-examination and will not be admitted.
3. In principle, the total scores of single candidates are sorted according to the above methods and select the best. Single candidates are not allowed to be transferred to admission.
4. No transfer of candidates who originally applied to other schools will be accepted. Candidates who are admitted on campus must undergo a re-examination by the admission department. Candidates must meet the basic requirements for re-examination of Tsinghua University's subject categories in their original majors before they can make on-campus adjustments between the same or similar majors. The subjects for the mutually adjusted professional unified examination must be the same, and the subjects for the business course examination must be the same or similar.
5. Candidates who apply for the first choice for the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Engineering Management, and Accounting are not allowed to be transferred to other majors, and candidates of other majors cannot be transferred to these four majors. Candidates who apply for the Master of Law (Illegal Law) major for the first choice are not transferred to other majors, and candidates from other majors are not allowed to transfer to the major. Candidates applying for a clinical medicine degree can be transferred to other majors according to relevant policies, and candidates applying for other majors cannot be transferred to a clinical medicine degree.
6. If candidates applying for the "Special Plan for Retired College Student Soldiers" apply for transfer to the general plan, their initial examination results must meet the score requirements for candidates who are shortlisted for the re-examination of the general plan for relevant departments.
7. Other instructions
1. All candidates who commit fraud, violate relevant examination regulations and disciplines, and have academic misconduct will be disqualified from admission and will be dealt with seriously in accordance with relevant regulations. Candidates must promise the authenticity of academic qualifications, degree certificates, personal and other application information. Those who have problems with academic ethics, professional ethics, honesty and trustworthiness will be cancelled once verified.
2. The relevant information, documents and messages disclosed or sent to candidates by our school and related admissions departments through graduate admission information platforms, websites, telephone numbers, emails, text messages, etc. are deemed to be delivered, and all consequences caused by the candidates' personal negligence and other reasons shall be borne by the candidates themselves.
3. Our school will conduct a comprehensive review of all candidates within 3 months after the new students enter the school in accordance with the relevant requirements of the " Student Management Regulations for Ordinary Higher Education Institutions ". If the review fails, the student status will be cancelled; if the circumstances are serious, it will be handed over to the relevant departments for investigation and handling.
4. Candidates who have reached the national re-examination score line but our school will not be admitted can contact the transfer unit of the other school by themselves. Unified and joint examination candidates who have not reached the national re-examination score line and single examination candidates who have applied to our school shall not be transferred.
8. Consultation, appeal and supervision

If an applicant has objection to the enrollment process of the department’s master’s degree, he or she may file a complaint in writing with the department, and the department shall accept and reply. If the complainant has objections to the reply, he or she may file a complaint with the Graduate Admissions Office.
