[Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On June 1st, Microsoft recently announced that it will gradually stop supporting the three functions in Excel from June 2023.
According to Microsoft, these three Microsoft Excel functions are only suitable for Microsoft 365 customers. That is, non-subscribers will not see any difference. Microsoft also said the reason for terminating these features is because fewer and fewer people use them.
It is reported that these three functions that are about to be terminated are Money, Partner Offers and Wolfram data types. Among them, Money is essentially a dynamic template that enables users to securely connect to their bank’s data and sync information directly. After June 30, 2023, it will no longer update users' transactions. Users will also be unable to reconnect to existing financial accounts or new financial accounts.
Regarding the cancellation of the partners' offers, Microsoft said it was because it wanted to explore other areas that could add more value to its customers, and notified that if users register for any products and services, they must redeem it by June 30, 2023, and then it will disappear forever.
In addition, Microsoft announced a partnership with Wolfram a few years ago, but has decided not to renew the contract. It is reported that Microsoft will now focus on its homemade solutions. Starting from June 11, 2023, refreshes of existing data types and connections to new data types will stop working.
