Entering June, Tokyo's first wave of COVID-19 pandemic has restrained, and the government's "emergency declaration" has also been lifted. I thought about staying at home for several months and whether I should go somewhere to relieve my depression. You should drive to the safest Northeastern part of Japan so that you can try to avoid contact with others. But in summer, I wanted to go into the sea, so I decided to take a big risk and take a plane to Miyakoshima, the southernmost part of Japan, to go there to go into the sea, bask in the sun, and take a week off.
In mid-July Tokyo is still rainy. This year's plum rain is really urgent and the period is long. And the second wave of COVID-19 has arrived again. We were fully armed, put on goggles, masks and gloves, and for the first time we squeezed into the full tram, went to the empty Haneda Airport , took the brand new Boeing 787 passenger plane with only one guest per five seats, listened to the president of ANA Flight Company broadcasting how their planes were completely disinfected, how to breathe, and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the flight attendant. After three hours, we flew to Miyako Island, one of the southernmost islands in Japan, which is even southerly than Taipei.
Miyako Island's surrounding waters are covered with corals and tropical fish. It is a very beautiful island with an area of about 160 square kilometers. It is only a half hour drive from the city center to any place. There are several small islands around it, Ichima Island to the north, Irabe Island and Shimodi Island to the west, and there is also a small island called Laima Island to the southwest. These islands are mainly connected by three bridges, Ichima Bridge and Laima Bridge. The most famous one is the Irabe Bridge. The Irabe Bridge is 6.5 kilometers long and is the longest bridge in Japan without charge.
It was already evening when we arrived at Miyako Island. Seeing the weather was fine, we hurriedly drove our rented car all the way west, crossed the Irabe Bridge, and saw that the police doll standing guard at the intersection also wore masks (there are more than a dozen such dolls on the island), which became a unique view this year. Passing through the pool and looking at it, it is actually just like its name. Below is the one connecting the sea. Divers often dive into the pool from undersea to see fish and corals. It was too late, leaving only a quiet pool and a blue sky. Before sunset, we arrived at Sawadahama, with thick clouds and slightly inferior scenery.
The next morning, so hurry up and go to the New Castle coast on the east side of Miyako Island to snorkeling. In the photo above, you can see that the seaside seems to be covered with black reefs, which is the coral reef. The corals are good and there are many colorful fish. And I also saw the famous clown fish (2モ). There are turtles on this coast, but unfortunately it was the time for tide to fall when we went there. The turtles swam to the deep sea and didn't see them.
After snorkeling, I drove the southeast half a week to Dongpingan Mingqi, and saw the surging Pacific Ocean and the beautiful coast. The big stone next to the lighthouse is a tomb named Mamuya (Mamuya). It is said that Mamuya is a peerless beauty. She was attracted by the Yecheng Prefecture, who has a wife. However, when she thought of her hard days in the future, she jumped off the cliff and committed suicide. From then on, there are no more beauties on this island, and they are sad...
Visit the Haibao Pavilion and we admire all kinds of shells. The collection of shellfish is 12,000 points and 6,000 species. Look at the shell from birth, as big as rice grains, to adult shells 30 cm, it takes more than ten years.
The biggest advantage of living in the city center is that the entire street is full of restaurants. When you walk through an Okinawa-style hotel, you feel it is very distinctive. When you see there are only two or three diners inside, you go in for a meal.
