I want to emphasize four points:
First of all, national sovereignty is inseparable. Territory is the space for states to exercise sovereignty. On a country's territory, there can only be one central government that exercises sovereignty on behalf of the country. On October 1, 1949, the Central Government of the People's Republic of China replaced the Government of the Republic of China and became the only legal government in China and the only representative on international law . This is the replacement of the old regime without changing the same international law subject . China's sovereignty and inherent territory have not changed from this. People's Republic of China naturally enjoys the exercise of China's sovereignty, including its sovereignty over Taiwan.
Secondly, although the two sides of the Taiwan Strait have not yet been unified, Taiwan's status as part of China's territory has never changed, and it is not allowed to change. China's sovereignty over Taiwan has never changed, and it is impossible to change. The long-term existence of the cross-strait civil war has not given Taiwan its status and rights in international law, nor can it change the legal status of Taiwan as a part of China.
Third, the international community recognizes that there is only one China in the world, Taiwan is part of China, and the government of the People's Republic of China is China's only legal government. Under this principle, Taiwan has no right to participate in United Nations and other international organizations with only sovereign states. Countries that establish diplomatic relations with China cannot develop official relations with Taiwan, cannot sell weapons to Taiwan or engage in any form of military alliance with Taiwan. The Chinese government treats Taiwan's foreign exchange activities with the one-China principle and protects all legitimate rights and interests of Taiwanese compatriots overseas. This is the concrete symbol of our exercise of sovereignty over Taiwan.
Fourth, China enjoys sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the Taiwan Strait. It also respects the navigation powers enjoyed by other countries in accordance with international law, but firmly opposes the reality of any country provoking and threatening China's sovereignty and security in the name of freedom of navigation.
