Overseas Network, September 24 The election of the chairman of the Kuomintang in China will be held on September 25, with 370,000 party members participating in the vote, and the results will be announced at 6 pm that day.
According to the United Daily News, September 25 is the voting day for the 2021 Kuomintang Chairman and the 21st National Congress representative election. A total of 4 candidates participated in the competition in this Kuomintang chairman election. The numbers decided by the lottery are: No. 1 Jiang Qichen, No. 2 Zhuo Boyuan, No. 3 Zhang Yazhong, and No. 4 Zhu Lilun.
In this election of the Kuomintang chairman, 370,000 qualified party members have the right to vote and set up 420 voting centers. The voting will be held from 8 am to 4 pm that day, and the invoice will be issued immediately, and the results are expected to be released at 6 pm. The new party chairman will report the election results to the China General Meeting on September 29. The handover ceremony for the new and old presidents is expected to be held at the Kuomintang’s “Percent Congress” on October 30.
Taiwan media said that in the 2017 Kuomintang chairman election, the Party Constitution stipulated that if no candidates received more than half of the votes in the first round of voting, the two first and second will enter the second round of voting; after the Kuomintang's "Percent Congress" amended the election methods, the rules were changed to the first round of "simple majority" to win.
