The elements of the twelve zodiac signs and traditional customs are perfectly integrated into the dance drama under the wonderful ideas of the directors. The wonderful dances such as crane dance, porcelain dance, silk dance, fan dance, , kite dance, candied haws dance, gyro dance, gold ingot dance, firecracker dance, etc. all tell the stories of the Chinese on the vast Chinese land. Now that we have gone through 12 years of reincarnation, it is the year of the tiger, which has also brought this work to a new starting point. In this round of "New Year", the youngest actor team in Zhongba is also their team debut. As a famous conductor Zhang Yi served as the music director of Zhongba for 20 years, the musical performance of this "New Year" is also full of highlights. Starting from the light finishing of the string music, Zhang Yi's "Bajiao" under the stick shows excellent overall tone and precise control of the work's atmosphere. In the first act "The Nutcracker" transforms into the battle between the "General" and the "Nian" beast, the brass tube and percussion create a strong dramatic tension, and the subsequent children's chorus introduces the audience's thoughts into a dream world full of colorful fantasies like the sound of nature. The music in the second act of the dance drama can be called a "collection of famous songs", leaving huge space for interpretation for conductors and orchestra performers. The loud solos of the trumpet in "fan dance", the ethereal chanting of strings in "silk dance", the fresh piccolo in "candy haws dance", and the fantasy harp in "Porcelain dance" and "nutcracker, Tuantuan big double dance ".
