After years of planning and construction, the skeleton network of the main roads in our county has become increasingly perfect, basically forming a road network layout of "seven vertical, six horizontal and one ring". The total mileage of roads opened to traffic in the county is 1,053.779 kilometers, and the density of roads opened to traffic reaches 215.51 kilometers/per hundred square kilometers. National Highway 228 is the vertical and seventh line of the county's "seven vertical, six horizontal and one ring" main road network, and is rich in coastal resources, tourism resources and industrial resources along the route. The County Transportation Bureau will take the opportunity of building the "three lines" of transportation to upgrade and transform the Hui'an section of National Highway 228 into a coastal scenic road, promote the integrated development of coastal tourism and industry, and comprehensively serve the county's economic construction.

Build a first-class and quality tourism trunk line to improve the overall image of the road
1 Hi'an National Highway 228 Line 26.8 kilometers in total, starting from the junction of Hui'an Wangchuan and Quangang , passing through Wangchuan , Dongqiao, Dongling , and Shanxia, and the end point is connected to the Taiwanese investment section.
The whole area widening and transformation adopts secondary highway and urban road technical standards, with a designed driving speed of 60 kilometers per hour, asphalt concrete pavement, and municipal pipeline projects are laid on both sides. At the same time, greening, lighting, and traffic signs along the route are improved to comprehensively improve the overall image of the road. The estimated total investment is 2.3 billion yuan.
At present, the widening and renovation project of National Highway 228 has completed the preparation of the project feasibility study report. The next step will be to organize the work permit approval work, and the construction is planned to start in the 14th Five-Year Plan.

In addition to road upgrades and transformation, the county transportation bureau will promote the implementation of new branch lines on some sections of National Highway 228, which crosses the plane of Provincial Highway 312, and follows Provincial Highway 312 to Chongwu Ancient City, implement the widening and transformation of Chihu to Chongwu Ancient City section of Provincial Highway 312 and widening and transformation of Binhai Road, connect the surrounding scenic spots, further unblock the surrounding tourism transportation veins, and effectively build National Highway 228 into a coastal tourism scenic route with deep integration of transportation and tourism. The total length of the project route is 9.93 kilometers, two-way six-lane asphalt concrete pavement, with a designed driving speed of 60km/h, and an estimated total investment of 607 million yuan.
The project is currently being planned and designed in advance, and construction is planned to start in November 2022.

In order to further serve the development of the county's industrial areas, improve the external transportation service capabilities of Quanhui Petrochemical Park, and improve the overall service industry development level of the county's main road network, the County Transportation Bureau first launched the construction of the widening and renovation of the section of the Hui'an Wangchuan Town District to the junction of Quangang. The total length of the route is 1.95 kilometers, adopts the second-level kilometers and urban road technical standards, and the designed vehicle speed is 60km/h, six lanes in both directions, asphalt concrete pavement, and the roadbed width is 40 meters, and the estimated total investment is 206 million yuan. The construction report has been completed and construction is planned to start in November 2022. At the same time, in order to further connect the surrounding industrial chains (SIC project, Quanzhou Shipyard project, Qinglanshan Oil Depot, Gangfeng Logistics, etc.), and build industrial service lines, the county transportation bureau started construction of the second phase of Tudou Road widening and transformation project, Jingfeng Songcun to Gangfeng logistics widening and transformation project, and promoted the construction of projects such as Qinglanshan Oil Depot to County Road 309, Douwei Port Qinglanshan Oil Depot slag transport channel project, etc., to meet the passage of production vehicles in the reservoir area, improve the external transportation capacity of petrochemical products, guide the layout of "dividing wall projects" such as Zhonglun Plastic Industry, Shidashenghua, Xinhe New Materials along the transportation road network of Douwei Port, promote the gathering of production factors such as people flow and capital flow, and further promote the coordinated development of "production and port city" in the Douwei area.
