At 17 pm that day, the reporter came to Jinghua City and saw that the scaffolding on the side at the junction of Guomao Sanheng Road and Jinmao East Road collapsed. The collapsed scaffolding pressed on the cars and electric vehicles parked at the site. The on-site staff had set up safety lines to isolate the site around the site.
A car owner, Ms. Lu, who was injured in a vehicle, told reporters that at 3:20 pm that day, she parked the car in the parking lot outside the KFC restaurant in Jinghua City and went upstairs. At around 4:20 pm, a friend came to look for her. After going downstairs, she found that the scaffolding collapsed and hit her vehicle. Two holes were smashed on the roof and fuel tank side. The staff in Jinghua City said that they would negotiate compensation with her after the collapsed scaffolding was processed.
According to staff from the Jinghua City Order Department, the collapsed scaffolding was built to repair and maintain the elevator, perhaps because of the storm that the scaffolding was blown down.
The staff member said that Jinghuacheng will be responsible for this incident and compensate the car owner. At present, relevant departments are investigating the incident. (Cai Dongcheng)
