Chen Junsheng said at Acer's booth at Taipei International Computer Exhibition: "The priority direction of Acer's corporate transformation is clear. We hope to gradually transition from PC to gaming PCs, commercial virtual reality and artificial intelligence in the next few years."

Chen Junsheng said that before taking the next move, it is important to build stronger computing power and accumulate experience. He also said gaming is the company's fast-growing business.

Acer has allocated resources to the R&D department to improve the performance of its gaming products, such as improving the quality of the cooling system, thereby winning the favor of more gamers.

Acer has not disclosed the revenue data of gaming products. However, the company said that shipments of gaming PCs increased by 64% last year.

Despite strong growth momentum, Chen Junsheng expects the gaming industry to peak in three years, so the company will enter the commercial virtual reality field in search of new growth momentum.

Chen Junsheng said: "We have decided to focus on commercial purposes. Once we enter the virtual reality field, we will deploy according to the B2B model. Because we think that virtual reality devices and technologies are too expensive for ordinary consumers at this stage."

Chen Junsheng said that it is illogical for consumers to spend millions of dollars to buy home virtual reality devices, but spending $12 to watch a virtual reality movie is acceptable.

Chen Junsheng said that Acer will target its users in cinema operators and interior decoration companies and seek cooperation with international virtual reality content providers.

Acer plans to continue to develop artificial intelligence business, but Chen Junsheng said that there is little progress in this regard at present. Chen Junsheng said: "There is no clear business model to share with you."
