The third ring road was built in the early 1970s. After rapid transformation in the 1990s, it formed a loop. The road passes through Haidian, Chaoyang , and Fengtai Districts. It is 48.2 kilometers long. There are 44 overpasses, 9 cross-river bridges, 62 cross-street overpasses, and 15 pedestrian passages.

total length is 23.13 kilometers, maintenance road area is 560,000 square meters, and bridge area is 140,000 square meters. The overhaul will simultaneously repair 75 bridges along the line (including main line bridges, passages, and overpasses), focusing on repairing and reinforcing the Sitong Bridge and Beitaipingzhuang Bridge.
