As of July 26, Zhuji City has appeared in the same flood for the first time in history, Meichi Station and Fengqiao Station both exceeded the highest level in history.
As of 9:00 this morning, the water level of Zhuji Station in Puyang River has exceeded the warning water level for 31 hours; the water level of Meichi Station in the lower reaches of Puyang River is 10.53 meters, exceeding the historical highest water level, exceeding the historical highest water level of 9.7 meters, and the guaranteed water level of 25 hours; Fengqiao Station, a tributary of Puyang River, exceeded the historical highest water level of 12.55 meters. Shangzuanhua Reservoir, Shibi Reservoir , and Chencai Reservoir have fully played the role of staggered peak-cutting, and the water level is all at a high level. Once the rain and water continue, there may be pipe surges and dam collapses in many places on the main stream of Puyang River.
Gaohu flood storage and retention area is located in Gaohufan, Huandong Street, Zhuji City. Since the 1950s, it has been a major flood storage and retention area in Zhuji in the Puyang River Basin. It is an important "middle division" project in the overall flood control layout of "upper storage, middle division, and lower discharge" in the Puyang River Basin. The first area of Gaohu flood storage and retention area covers an area of 9,166 mu and meets the conditions for flood storage. At 9:00 this morning, based on the severe typhoon prevention situation and the complex dangers that have occurred one after another, the Gaohu flood discharge gate opened two holes to divert floods at the same time, using local space in the first area to store water to regulate, and alleviate the flood control pressure of Puyang Jiangdongjiang and Fengqiaojiang. "The worst plan and the strongest confidence" reflects the responsibility of the Zhuji Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to the millions of Zhuji people, ensuring that "no people die, fewer injuries, and fewer losses."
According to monitoring, when the gate is opened at 9:00 to 18:00, the water level of Zhuji Station in Puyangjiang River has dropped by 0.83 meters, the water level of Meichi Station has dropped by 0.5 meters, and the water level of Fengqiao Station has dropped by 1.4 meters.
Zhuji Municipal Public Security Department implements traffic control on roads in flood storage areas, strictly prohibits all vehicles and personnel from entering, and strictly prohibits nearby people from entering the lake area for any operations, fishing, watching, or staying.
