2. Special snacks - Linbang Zong
Humen has a long history and lived in it about 3,000 years ago. In addition to the Xinwan fishing net weaving skills, there is also a very unique snack - "Linbang Zong".
We all know that southern rice dumplings are generally wrapped in bamboo leaves, but in Humen, which is also located in the south, they use a plant called "Linbian" to wrap the rice dumplings, so they are named "Linbian Zong", and can actually wrap eight different forms, which are extremely ornamental, far exceeding other rice dumplings.
Trees next to forest usually grow next to wet mountains or streams. The leaves are narrow and long, with thick and hard thorns on both sides, making them difficult to pick. With the changes in the ecological environment, there are fewer and fewer leaves beside the forest. In addition to the complex technology of making rice dumplings, this traditional handmade rice dumpling is at the risk of being lost and has been declared as a municipal intangible cultural heritage project by Humen Town.
