Jixi is located in the watershed area between the Yangtze River water system and the Qiantang River water system. It is one of the water sources in 14 cities in Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangxi Provinces, and is also an important source of Xin'an River , Qingyi River , and Shuiyang River .
On the Taohua Dam of Dengyuan River, Xu Laijiu, chief engineer of the county's Water Affairs Bureau, introduced that in order to ensure the safety of river flood control and beautiful ecology, Jixi County has strengthened the construction of river flood control projects and hydrophilic docks, imitation bluestone guardrails, greening and beautification. The river chief system implements full coverage of four levels of county, township, village and group, and has taken the lead in the province to implement the private river chief system and river police system. Jixi is an important birthplace of Hui culture , and has a history of more than 1,400 years. A sentence that locals often say is: "Here, if you walk into a village, you will turn a page of history; if you step on a stone everywhere, you may touch a piece of history."
In Renli, the reporter walked through the "Baibu Qin Street" that has been baptized by thousands of years of storms, and passed the Hui-style old house that has experienced hundreds of years of vicissitudes, and came to a handmade ink-making workshop. An old man who made ink holds a hammer in his right hand and flips the ink in his left hand, and while knocking, he tells the origin of Huimo.
It is understood that the history of Hui Mo recorded no later than the end of the Tang Dynasty. The "Earth Ink" made by Hu Kaiwen Mozhuang also won the Gold Medal of the Panama World Expo in 1915. As one of the "Four Treasures of Study" famous at home and abroad, Huimo has been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, becoming a favorite of calligraphy and painting enthusiasts and a key product for local cultural tourism.
