Ocean Network News The 2018 Cedar Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon will be held from 8:00 to 15:00 on Huangpu District , December 23, 2018. By then, 15,000 athletes from multiple countries and regions will participate in the competition.

Huangpu police released the road security and traffic control matters of the 2018 Cedar Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon on December 19, reminding the general public to pay attention and cooperate to jointly create a "safe and orderly" event atmosphere.
According to reports, the starting point of this marathon track is Huangpu Sports Center (also the end point of Happy Run). Passing Harbor Road, entering Huangpu Port , and going north along Kefeng Road, running towards Kaitai Avenue , Kaiyuan Avenue , and Science Avenue, directly reaching the end point of the event (full marathon and half marathon) Science City Green Axis Square.
Traffic Control
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the competition and the safety and orderliness of roads during the competition, temporary traffic control will be implemented on some roads in Huangpu District in time and sections during the competition.
December 23 starts at 05:30 to the end of the competition. The following time and on the roads, except for vehicles holding special vehicle licenses for the 2018 Huangpu Marathon and military police vehicles, fire trucks, medical ambulances, and engineering rescue vehicles that perform emergency tasks, other vehicles are prohibited from passing and parking:
(I) 05:30 to the end of the competition, Hulin Road (Zhendong Road to Fengle North Road ) begins to implement traffic control. Social vehicles can detour Guangyuan Expressway, Huangpu East Road , Zhongshan Avenue East, and Daguan Road .
(2) from 06:00 until the end of the competition, Fengle North Road (Guangyuan Expressway-Fengle Middle Road section), Fengle Middle Road section, Fengle Middle Road section, Fengle South Road section, Dashadi East (Gangwan Road-Fengle Middle Road section), Gangwan Road (Dashadi East-Gangqian Road section), Fengle North Road (Guangyuan Expressway-Kefeng Road section), Kefeng Road (Fengle North Road-Kaitai Avenue section), Kaitai Avenue section, Kaida Road (Kaitai Avenue-Spectrum East Section), the entire section of Guangpu East Road, the entire section of Guangpu Middle Road, the entire section of Guangpu West Road (Guangpu Middle Road-Guangbao Section), Lanyue Road (Guangpu Middle Road-Tianfeng Section), Tianfeng Road (Lanyue Road-Tiantai 1 Section), Tiantai 1st Road, Science Avenue (Kaitai Avenue-Guanghong Section), Kaiyuan Avenue (Kaitai Avenue-Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health), and Development Avenue (Juncheng Road to Lianyun Section), will begin to implement traffic control.
(III) During the period of traffic control, social vehicles can detour Daguan Road, Guangyuan Expressway, Guangshan Highway, and Kaichuang Avenue .
(IV) If enterprises, institutions and citizens along the route need to use motor vehicles during the competition, they can temporarily park the vehicles in designated parking spaces outside the traffic control area before the temporary traffic control on December 23. Please remove the vehicle in time after the event is over and the traffic returns to normal.
December 23 06:00 to 15:00, all heavy trucks and hazardous chemical transport vehicles are prohibited from entering the following areas:
East: west of Kaichuang Avenue (excluding); south: north of Gangqian Road (excluding); west: east of Daguan Road (excluding); north: south of Guangshan Road (excluding).
Police remind
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the competition and the safety of the audience, the police requested the general public to actively cooperate and do the following aspects:
1. The audience should watch in the designated viewing area, obey the command of the on-duty police and the event organizers, enter and exit the viewing area in an orderly manner, consciously maintain traffic and public security order, do not cross the track, throw debris, chase and fight, stir up trouble and fight, watch the game in a civilized manner, and interfere with the competition.
2. It is strictly forbidden to bring dangerous prohibited items such as flammable and explosive, controlled knives, etc. into the viewing area.
3. It is strictly forbidden to climb bridges, guardrails, fences, telephone poles, trees, billboard stands, and neon light stands to avoid danger.
4. Vehicles are not allowed to enter controlled road sections at will. The moving vehicles must be parked and stored at designated locations. During the competition, traffic control measures will be taken, and public transportation will be adjusted accordingly. Citizens who are traveling are requested to prepare in advance.
5. Vehicles and people passing by the river bridge and pedestrian overpass and guide bridge should not stay on the bridge, as to avoid crowding people and vehicles endangering personal safety and affecting traffic order.
6. Units and residents within the viewing area should do a good job in internal safety precautions and remove the debris on the balcony as soon as possible to avoid falling and hurting people.
7. When a person is found with suspicious signs or who is conducting illegal and criminal activities, please report to the police on duty in time, or call 110 directly to the police.
