The latest US media reports that the Russian-controlled Khlsong area has begun to ask local residents to leave, and the leaders of the region called on the Russian federal government to help Khlsong residents evacuate into Russia. At present, the Russian army has lost some controlled areas in eastern Ukraine. Western media believe that when the Ukrainian army's offensive is in full swing, the Russian army can no longer defend Khlsong.

It is reported that Russia's appointed leader of Khlsson region Vladimir Saldo has publicly issued a call on social media that due to concerns about the missile and artillery fire attack in Ukraine, Khlsson's local government hopes to organize Khlsson residents to go to parts of Russia to "enter and learn" or "protect themselves from missile attacks." Saldo also asked senior Russian government officials to help organize relevant work. He wrote: "Our residents of Khlsong area know that Russia will not abandon its people. Russia is always there to help, although it is difficult."
Currently, Ukraine has launched a series of counterattacks in Khlsong, Kharkov and Donbas and has made significant progress. Russia had to give up part of its territory, personnel and equipment and began to retreat. But the Khlsong local government did not admit that it was an evacuation. Saldo's deputy Kiril Stremusov said: "This is a temporary stay and rest in other parts of the Russian Federation. This is not a request for evacuation." Stremusov also said that the Ukrainian shelling "has taken many civilian lives" and urged Khlsong residents to "stay calm and not succumb to panic." According to TASS , it is expected that people evacuated from the Khlsson area will arrive in Rostov Oblast in Russia within a few days.
Since October, the counterattack organized by the Ukrainian army has successfully repelled some of the Russian troops and recovered some of the occupied territories. The city of Khlsong is the only Ukrainian city that has been completely occupied since Russia launched the "special military operation" in February. Khlsong controls the only land passage and drinking water passage to Crimea . After the outbreak of the Crimea conflict in 2014, the Ukrainian army voluntarily cut off drinking water to Crimea. In addition, Khlsong land is located at the estuary of the Dnieper River, and its strategic position is very important. Therefore, the Ukrainian army has been carrying out combat operations in the Khlsong area for several months, but now the Ukrainian army's artillery fire will not only attack the Russian military targets, but also attack Khlsong's civilians, which forced the local government to consider evacuating civilians from the war zone. Once Khlsun falls, for Russia, Crimea will become a "isolated island" again.
At present, Russia has mobilized more than 100,000 reserve personnel to be put into battle. The problem is that the logistics supply line in the Khlsong area has been hit by Ukraine's long-range firepower, and it is still unknown how much materials, weapons and ammunition can be transported to the front line. At present, Ukraine said that it was only a matter of time before Khlsson's liberation was due to the lack of new combat plans and well-trained troops in the Khlsson area and was unable to carry out offensive operations. If the Ukrainian armed forces successfully implement their plan, Khlsun's Russian army would not be able to stop the Ukrainian army's actions, so they had to let the authorities' residents evacuate here in advance.
