Taiwan's "Mahjong Biggest Party" held a party founding conference at the Hanlai Dome Hall in Kaohsiung yesterday, and the conference elected Guo Xi as the first party chairman.
The initiator of the "Mahjong Biggest Party" once published a half-page advertisement on the front page of the three major newspapers on the island before the Mid-Autumn Festival. His "Creation Manifesto" claimed that the motive was pure and that the promotion of mahjong culture was "rejected to be equated with gambling."
At yesterday's founding meeting, 78 of the 120 initiators attended. Zhang Huate, the president of Taiwan's "China Mahjong Competition" also attended and expressed support. The conference discussed the passage of the Party Constitution and elected the party leader. Guo Xi said that at present, 10,000 people have applied to join the party, and the threshold for initiating a political party must have more than 100 party members. First, 120 sponsors will be used as the initial scale to establish a political party. The remaining party members' applications are being processed by the Secretariat one after another.
Guo Xi said that Taiwan’s mahjong population is quite high. The purpose of the founding party is to focus on long-term photos, so that the silver-haired people can have legitimate leisure activities, and at the same time promote participation in mahjong international competition, so that young people should not play mahjong secretly because of their outdated social impression.
"Mahjong Biggest Party" was established, and the party flag was also disclosed to the public. The theme was to "fa" cards among mahjong plaques. It just so happened that the gift cards were originally green fonts, which attracted a lot of Lenovo . Some party members also said that fortunately they did not choose to use the "Zhong" card of mahjong as the party flag, otherwise the red Zhong card of mahjong is used as the party flag in Taiwan today, which would be very politically incorrect and would cause misunderstandings.
Public information shows that Guo Xi was once an advisor to the Taiwan Navy "Headquarters" and was investigated for the "Yin Qingfeng case" and the military purchase corruption case.
