Red Net Changde Station August 5 (Substation reporter Zheng Jianghui, intern Liu Qing) This morning, the 2015 donation and assistance activity of the foreign travel committee members of the Changde Municipal CPPCC was held. 14 foreign travel committee members continued to lend a helping hand to 82 students to support them in completing their four years of university studies. Li Aiguo, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, attended the event and delivered a speech. The
event was hosted by Xiao Chaojin, Vice Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, and leaders of the Municipal CPPCC such as Ao Jianbin, Fu Shaoping, and Gan Zhimin attended. On the day of the event, foreign travel members and paired students also visited two young overseas returnees including Hunan Huantong Technology Co., Ltd. and Xishuabiao Disinfection Modernization Co., Ltd.
For many years, the foreign travel committee members of the Changde Municipal CPPCC have been concerned about their hometown and have donated funds to support their hometown construction and social undertakings in their personal names many times. Since last year, 14 foreign travel commissioners have spontaneously used pairing and cash donations to help the poor, voluntarily sponsored 18 pilots and 82 poor college students in the city with second-tier universities or above. The committee members donated 100,000 yuan each to pair up 5 to 6 college students, each with 5,000 yuan a year, and sponsored for 4 years until they graduated from university. Last year, I have donated once, this time is the second time and will continue next year.
Looking at the warm and warm student aid scene, Li Aiguo was deeply moved. He hopes that foreign travel members should keep in touch with paired students, start and end well, and do good things well. At the same time, do your career well, think about your source of wealth, and give back to your hometown. He also sent a message to students to learn knowledge, learn to be a good person, and learn to take responsibility, strive to achieve success in their studies as soon as possible, be grateful to those who care about themselves, and give back to society.
