Malaysia's "Chinese Chopsticks Theory" has caused controversy
Former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Mahathir said that it is difficult for Chinese to eat with chopsticks and speak Chinese to integrate into Malaysian society.
Tun Mahathir yesterday introduced his new book "Catching Hope: Continue the Struggle for New Malaysia", pointing out that all ethnic groups in Malaysia preserve their own culture and customs. For example, Chinese people eat with chopsticks, while Malays use their hands, and pointed out that Malaysians connect their race with their ancestors' birthplace, not only speaking Chinese dialect, but also following China's Chinese language, so they cannot integrate well into Malaysian society.
Another former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib posted two photos of Mahathir using chopsticks to catch raw during the Chinese New Year to tease the latter, and used "Expert Skill" to describe Mahathir's move to raise chopsticks to catch raw.

The theory of chopsticks published by former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Mahathir has caused backlash from all parties and has also made more people in the government and opposition parties speak out for the use of chopsticks; Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Education Datuk Ma Hanshun posted posts in Facebook with pictures and texts, and tagged the topic "#I use chopsticks, I am a Malaysian".
Ma Hanshun said that their family has used chopsticks to eat since childhood, while Japan and South Korea also use chopsticks to pick up food and eat. He believes that this is a cultural tradition and a dietary habit. Ma Hanshun is also the acting president of Ma Hua. He has been in medicine for more than 10 years and is a professional cardiologist.
He said that there are surgeons in China who often practice chopsticks and perform surgery to make it smooth.
