Recently, when Zhang Xiange, the judge of the Fourth Civil Division of Weiyang District Court of Xi'an, was hearing an inheritance dispute case, accurately certified the specific circumstances of the property involved in the case by applying the "property declaration guarantee letter" system.
Mr. Zheng died of illness in July 2019 and did not leave a will before his death. Afterwards, his mother Zhao, the eldest son of , Zheng, and his remarried wife Yu and daughter Zheng Xiao, had a dispute over inheritance of inheritance and sued Weiyang Court. However, when the plaintiffs Zhao and Zheng found that in the case of prosecution, it was not clear whether there were other inheritances besides three properties and one car.

The judge explained the relevant legal provisions to the defendant and informed him that if he deliberately concealed, embezzled, or fought for the inheritance, he could decide to reduce the inheritance he should inherit according to law.
In the end, the defendant Yu expressed his willingness to truthfully declare all the inheritance and clues he knew, and filled out the "Property Declaration Guarantee" under the guidance of the assistant judge Liu Di, thus determining the total amount of the inheritance involved.
