Specifically, CWUR uses the following objective and authoritative indicators to determine the world ranking of universities:
- Education quality : According to the school size, measure the number of world-renowned awards, trophies and honors of the school alumni won;
- Employment status : According to the school size, measure the proportion of alumni serving as CEOs of famous international companies;
- College quality : Measure the number of internationally important awards, trophies and honors won by scholars in the school;
- research results : count the total number of published papers;
