During the 23rd TITAS 2019 Taipei Textile Exhibition held on October 7-9, Chemours, the United States, demonstrated its breakthrough long-lasting water-spraying agent - Teflon EcoElite™ non-fluorine-lasting water-spraying agent, presenting the functions and advantages of Teflon EcoElite™ non-fluorine-lasting water-spraying technology and professional solutions to the audience. It has attracted the attention and favor of many professionals, brands and retailers in the industry, and has caused a huge response.

Teflon EcoElite™ Water Splashing Agent is the world's first long-lasting water splashing agent developed using renewable resources. 60% of the raw materials used are renewable resources. It is a bio-based product certified by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). It is based on Zelan™ R3 technology and has obtained the blue mark (bluesign®) environmental certification. This product is non-fluorine, long-lasting and water-resistant, and can effectively resist common stains in home life. When water-based stains encounter this fabric treated with Teflon EcoElite™ water-repellent agent, the stains will immediately condense into water droplets and roll off, leaving the fabric dry. Efficient water-repellent on all kinds of cotton, synthetic and blended fibers. After laboratory testing, the performance of Teflon EcoElite™ anti-spraying agent is significantly better than other non-fluorin anti-spraying agents produced on the market based on existing technologies (such as paraffin , silicone , melamine, polymer). The coats and clothing treated with it can still maintain good anti-spraying properties after 30 washes.

Sustainable development has become an international topic. In the world, including the fashion industry, the outdoor sports industry is actively developing in this direction, and consumers' understanding and demand for environmental protection have gradually strengthened, which has led to the growing demand for sustainable products in the textile industry. More and more customers hope to pay more attention to the concept of environmental protection and sustainable development while meeting product performance and durability. The results of customer surveys conducted by Chemours in China, Europe, the United States and other markets show that compared with other non-fluorine-resistant water-spraying products, the interviewed customers are willing to pay a 7% premium for jackets that use Teflon EcoElite™ non-fluorine-lasting water-spraying technology; at the same time, they are willing to pay at least 17% premium for renewable raw material anti-spraying products. The results of the Nielsen survey show that 66% of global respondents expressed their willingness to pay a certain ‘premium’ for products that have a positive impact on the social environment. Mr. Ethan Rim, Global Account Manager of EcoElite™ Textile Additives Business, said: "At this stage, Teflon EcoElite™ non-fluorine environmentally friendly water-spraying agent technology is mainly used in the textile and apparel field, but at the same time, Chemours is also actively exploring the application prospects of its technology in the non-textile and apparel field, such as the sports shoe fabric market, automotive interiors, outdoor products, and home textiles that have application demand for water-spraying, brought by the rise of sports and leisure trends."
