Wangcang County belongs to Hongyuan City, Sichuan Province, located on the northern edge of the Sichuan Basin, the southern foot of Micang Mountain, the east is adjacent to Nanjiang County, , Chaotian District, Lizhou District, and Zhaohua District, , Nanhua District, Nanhua District, Nanhua District, Nananhua District, Nananyang County, Nanyang County, Nanyang County, Nanyang County and Nanhua District, Nanhua District, Nanyang County, Nanyang County and nycangqiang County in Shaanxi Province, till the north is adjacent to till the south. The county has an area of 2,987 square kilometers. In 2012, the total population was 458,200, and it was home to ethnic groups such as Han, Qiang, Yi, Tibetan, Hui, Miao, and Dong.
Wangcang County was liberated on January 12, 1950. On May 9, 1952, Wangcang County adjusted the administrative divisions of districts and townships into 9 districts, 2 towns and 64 towns. In April 1954, the county party committee and county government decided and reported to the superiors for approval. The fourth district (Zhengyuan) was merged into the ninth district (Yingcui), and the merged district was called the fourth district, and the district was established in Yingcui.
