Question, what is a major event in life? "Mencius Li Lou II" says: "Health preservation is not enough to be a big deal, but to die can be a big deal."
In traditional Chinese concepts, the dead are the biggest, and the major events in life are nothing more than birth, old age, sickness and death. Just as Lao Mo said in the movie: "There is no big deal except life and death."
The movie "The Great Events in Life" tells the story of the funeralist Mo Sanmei who met an orphan Xiaowen during a funeral shortly after her sentence. Mo Sanmei and Xiaowen fell in love and fought each other, and eventually changed Mo Sanmei's attitude towards career and life. A practitioner who is dedicated to taking care of the last decent deceased is difficult to take into account his decent in life. The plot has laughter and tears. Isn’t this just like our life of sadness and joy?
Every character portrayed in "The Great Events in Life" has his own suffering. Mo Sanmei's bitterness: her girlfriend cheated and was wrongly accused of stealing money. Her girlfriend got along with others, and it was the person who caused him to go to prison when she fought with him; Xiaowen's bitterness: she didn't know who her father was, and she had never seen her mother, she was disliked by her aunt, and was excluded by her cousin; Lao Mo's bitterness: she lost her son in middle age, her daughter divorced, and was not understood. There are also the suffering of the second sister, the grandmother, and even the suffering of uncle Xiaowen and the mother. The whole movie, the first half, tells us the pain of life, and it’s a mess.
But it is these people who are in pain that eventually become a little sweetness in each other's hearts. Xiaowen's appearance made Mo Sanmei understand gentleness and responsibility, understand Lao Mo's persistence and expectations, and also gained a new understanding of the funeralist industry and found the direction of life; Mo Sanmei's appearance gave Xiaowen warmth and company, making up for the lack of family abandoned after her grandmother's death. Just as Xiaowen said at the parent-teacher meeting: "But I'm not afraid anymore, because I have a father."

is dead? I don't think so. "The Great Events in Life" seems to be telling death, but in fact, it tells us to live well. The limitations of human beings determine that we cannot choose how we live, and we cannot predict when we die. So, for us, what is the real big event in life?
I think it’s to cherish the present. Cherish the time in front of you and cherish the current career. The most important thing is to cherish the people in front of you who are by your side. We cannot decide life and death, but we can decide what is happening in the moment.
Just like in the movie "The Great Events in Life", father-son love is in opposition to understanding; father-daughter love is inflicted to love; mother-daughter love is intensified by blood; love is in the world.
Family, education, career, family, love, and every thing is a major event in life. Compared with life and death, it seems not that important, but for us, every thing cannot be given up. The most important thing is that we cannot control life and death, but we can decide the present.
Life is short, cherish what you see. It is enough to love the people you can love, do what you love, and spend your life the way you like.
