Input module
is used to receive signal input The input device is used as part of the fire alarm system. According to the different input signals, the input module can be divided into two types: switching input and analog input.

is used to control the start-stop or switch of certain devices. It does not receive signal input is generally used to control devices without signal feedback, such as broadcasting audio and other devices.

Input and output module
In some cases, it is also called a control module. When there are control requirements, it can output signals, or provide a switching signal, so that the controlled device can operate and receive feedback signals from the device to report to the host. It is an important part of the fire alarm linkage system. The input and output modules on the market can provide a pair of passive normally open/normal closed contacts to control the controlled equipment. Some manufacturers' modules can be set to active output through parameter settings, and correspondingly, dual input and output modules, multi-input and output modules, etc.

Relay module
is generally used to extend the communication distance of the bus when the system's communication distance is too far, and at the same time, it can enhance the anti-interference ability of the system.

Isolation module (bus isolator)
isolate the protection loop of the front-end of the system bus. When a short circuit or other fault occurs, the part connected to the back-end is isolated from the system, so as not to cause the entire system to fail to work normally. After the faulty parts of the lines are repaired, the isolator can resume work by itself.

is used to connect input and output modules and large current controlled devices to play a protective role, and its function is equivalent to a relay.

In some cases, it is also called a switching module, which is used to connect multi-line direct control points and controlled devices.
Fire protection module is the bridge of the fire alarm system and plays a crucial role. As people pay more and more attention to fire safety, the application of modules will become more and more complete and the functions will be more and more complete.
Example: GST-LD-8301 input and output module
This module is used to connect passive equipment with various one-time operations on site and output of action signals, such as smoke exhaust valves, air supply valves, fire valves, etc. to the control bus.
This module is encoded using an electronic encoder, and there are a pair of normally open and normally closed contacts in the module. The module has a DC 24V voltage output, which is used to connect to the relay contacts to form an active output to meet different needs in the field. In addition, the module is also equipped with a switch signal input terminal, which is used to connect to the switch contacts of the field equipment to confirm whether the field equipment is operating.The input and output of this module have line detection function. It should be noted that the module contacts should not be directly connected to the AC control circuit to prevent strong AC interference signals from damaging the module or control equipment.
