Xinjiang Network (Reporter Wang Changtong) On January 13, the Urumqi Fire Rescue Detachment organized fire prevention supervisors from brigades of various districts and counties to visit kindergartens and primary and secondary schools to offer fire safety classes to enhance children's fire safety awareness during the winter vacation.
At 11 o'clock that day, the fire prevention supervisors of the Xinshi District Brigade of the Urumqi Fire Rescue Detachment came to the 113th Middle School (Headquarters) to hold the "Fire Safety Entering Campus" event.
"Students, we just learned how to use fire extinguishers. Which student can tell me what to do first when going to a strange place?" In the fire safety class, fire prevention supervisor Gao Jie asked. Song Minyang, a student in the eighth grade (3) class of
, raised his hand and replied: "First of all, you should find the location of the fire evacuation passage in the building to understand the evacuation route."
, Song Minyang's answer was recognized by Gao Jie and also won the applause of the students.
Gao Jie introduced to the students how to draw a family escape route map. Step 1: Draw a floor plan of the house; Step 2: Mark out all possible escape methods; Step 3: Try to draw two escape routes for each room; Step 4: Focus on other members in the home who need help; Step 5: Determine a meeting point outdoors; Step 6; Rehearse the fire escape plan at home.
Gao Jie said that there are more opportunities for primary and secondary school students to stay at home alone during the winter and summer vacations. Parents and schools need to work together to educate and supervise their children not to carry matches or lighters, do not play with electricity or fire, and be cautious when using electrical appliances.
