Meng Jinping, director of the Jinyang Lake Management Office of Taiyuan City, introduced that after a period of time, these will be open to citizens.
Jinyang Lake Lake water is the water inlet by the West Canal located in the northeast corner of the lake. It is supplied twice a year by the Yellow River diversion project. The water quality level can reach Class III ecological water to meet the needs of ecological landscape. On May 25, Jinyang Lake began to store water after the dredging, and the construction has been completed. "In the next step, we will work closely with the Yellow River diversion Engineering Bureau to focus on solving the problem of direct water supply to Qingxu Chemical Park in winter. By then, Jinyang Lake will change from the original 'stagnant water' to 'live water', and from the former power plant reservoir to a large ecological landscape reservoir." Meng Jinping introduced.

The first phase of Jinyang Lake Scenic Area project, which is about to be opened, starts from Huanhu North Road, Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City in the north, Mengshan Street in the south, Huanhu East Road in the east, and ends at the south extension of the West Central Ring Road in the west, with an area of 9.348 square kilometers, a lake area of 5.658 square kilometers, a reservoir capacity of 20 million cubic meters to 22 million cubic meters, a garden landscape area of 3.107 square kilometers, and a supporting service area of 0.583 square kilometers.
Meng Jinping introduced: "The first phase is based on modernity and leisure, including four functional areas, with nearly 30 attractions, which can meet the different needs of citizens such as tours, rest, entertainment, fitness, and games. It is particularly worth mentioning that the "Dream of Jinyang" water cultural and tourism creative performance project located in the southeast corner has been opened to the public in May this year."
The main landscape of the second phase includes a wetland exhibition hall, wedding photography base, butterfly hall, etc., which will reach the size of 4 Yingze Parks. The Jinyang Lake Scenic Area in the future will be a large-scale comprehensive scenic area integrating green landscapes, garden sketches, characteristic buildings, children's activities, beach baths, and creative water cultural and tourism performances.
There are also 6 piers in the four directions around the lake, southeast, west and northwest. Ferries will be activated here in the future to form an hourly ferry circle. Several pleasure boats will also be set up on the lake, where tourists can take the pleasure boats to visit the lake.

"After the opening of the east coast, more than 20,000 tourists come every day, and 40,000 people a day on Saturdays and a day." "If tourists come to Jinyang Lake Scenic Area for fun, there are 6 parking lots and a total of 5,000 parking spaces. There is an underground parking lot on the north side of the east area, an above-ground parking lot on the north and south of the east area, an above-ground parking lot on the south and north areas, and a above-ground parking lot on the Shuixiu Scenic Area." Meng Jinping said that if tourists are tired and hungry, they can go to the scenic spot tourist service center, children's activity area supporting facilities, beach bathing facilities and tea houses. This place will provide tourists with simple meals, boat tickets and other necessary services.
Because the Jinyang Lake scenic area is large, the first-level lake-surrounding roads in the first phase are 15.7 kilometers around the lake. Therefore, in order to facilitate tourists, the scenic spot has specially equipped 100 electric vehicles, 20 vehicles are deployed in advance, and 24 stops are available around the lake. After all the scenic spots are opened, people can scan the code to take a ride. In addition, two-person bicycles and three-person bicycles will be placed in the scenic area for tourists to rent and ride by themselves. Beach Bathing The attraction is located in the northwest corner and is one of the highlights of the entire scenic area. It covers an area of 30,000 square meters and the water area covers an area of 20,000 square meters. It can accommodate 3,000 tourists at the same time. The deepest water depth is 2.2 meters and the shallowest water depth is 0.4 meters. The white-silique sea sand is about 30,000 cubic meters, all transported here from Rizhao, Shandong.
Children's Activity Area This attraction is located on the north bank and covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters. It creates outdoor aerobic sports venues for teenagers and adults, and provides a diverse forest fitness space, so that people can gain more health in nature.
West District: "Memory City" section
West District attractions include Cherry Blossom Double Dike, Dadi Art Gallery, Yingyue Art Gallery, Acacia Bay, Windward Plaza, etc.
Earth Art Gallery Based on the original terrain, the attraction creates a "earth exhibition hall" with sculpture art as the theme and natural landscape as the screen. The attraction strives to shape three natural water wetlands with the same composition and six scene spaces with different themes. The three water wetlands combine the original low-lying terrain to respond to the construction of sponge city, and create three quiet and unique natural water wetlands, planting a variety of aquatic plants such as water lily, flower-leaf reeds, aquatic canna, iris, yellow calamus , etc., making them natural and colorful. 6 exhibition halls are distributed in various places - step exhibition hall, water-friendly exhibition hall, platform exhibition hall, forest exhibition hall, sinking exhibition hall, and grass exhibition hall.
Yingyue Art Gallery This attraction is located on the south side of Dadi Art Gallery. According to the original fish pond, through the connection of landscape roads, steps and wooden plank roads, it creates an adornment and tour trail that strolls in the natural water scenery.
Major events in the construction of Jinyang Lake Scenic Area
○2012: The Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government proposed to focus on the current situation of urban village renovation around Jinyang Lake, and combine the relocation of old industrial bases such as Taihua Group and a power plant to carry out comprehensive management of the surrounding environment. The project is constructed in three phases, with a total planned area of 19.3 square kilometers, starting from Huanhubei Road in the north, ending at the South Ring Expressway in the south, starting from Xishan in the west, and ending at Huanhu East Road in the east.
○October 2015: The construction party entered the site for construction, and the landscape on the east bank took only half a year to take the landscape. Then other landscape projects on the north, west and south banks were gradually launched.
○2016: The Second Plenary Session of the Eleventh Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee and the Economic Work Conference proposed that Jinyang Lake, Fenhe and 9 tributaries are precious and scarce resources, accelerate comprehensive governance and ecological restoration, and form a water-rhymed dragon city pattern with "a lake finishing touch, one water parting, and nine waters surrounding it". The construction of Jinyang Lake scenic area is the top priority.
○2017: The Seventh Session of the 12th People's Congress of Shanxi Province proposed: "Start to plan and build the Taiyuan Xishan area with Jinyang Lake as the center, to create a first-class scenic spot with mountains and lakes, rivers and lakes connected, ancient and modern integration, and humanities and natural reflection."
○October 2016 to March 2018: Due to planning and design adjustments, the project was suspended.
○April 2018: After the planning adjustment is completed, the construction of scenic spots will be launched quickly and comprehensively.
○Mid-late July 2019: The first phase of the scenic spot is completed and opened.
